@pabloalejandro99 Carbonated beverage bottles are designed to hold in pressure. When you squeeze the bottle you increase the pressure. Milk is not carbonated, so some gallon jugs pop the lid off too easily. And in the US, milk jugs are not clear, so you can't really see inside.
@Mrthestyle1 Yes, you can use a condiment pack, as mentioned in the series. However, you cannot see what's going on inside: compression of the air, etc.

@glupoi652 Might be hard to observe since you wouldn't be able to see through the mercury. BTW, there is a non toxic substitute for mercury, sold by scitoys.

Yes, it does not have to be paper clips for weight. But whatever you use should be able to withstand being in water.
