The previous scene was actually funny and creative with highjackers arguing with Bin Laden over how many virgins they recieve, and then deciding to fly the plane to the Bahamas. The Japanese had lunched an attack first on pearl harbor, they threw the first stone, and they may have not killed as many in that attack as the nuke attacks but they still attacked basically without warning. So when you say that we have done plenty by body count you may be right, but when is comes to the evil intent of the attack we have done nothing that overshadows the 9/11 attacks.

If the movie was restricted by the U.S. Government and was not allowed in the U.S., then yes, free speech would be disgraced. However, it's totally within the rights of corporate cinemas to refuse to show disrespectful or offensive content.
