I am one of many hundreds of thousands fathers violated and abused in Canadian Family Court. Without any evidence of wrongdoing on my part, in the presence of substantiated evidence of my ex-wifes violent, irrational and destructive behavior my parental and property rights were violated by the court. My children and my property were wrenched away from me and I have been forced to pay to get back what is rightfully mine. The court system must go, it's corrupted beyond repair.

We need Judiciary Accountability Department where litigants can file complain againt Judges who refused to follow the law and failure to protect children. We need Jury Duty in every custody trial. We need to get rid of dysfuntional court mediator department. CPS must take action as soon as call being made and put children safety first not rely on Family court hearing or action. We need a serious consequences for any Judges who take campaign contribution from attorneys, litigants, etc.

Thank you Senator Mark Leno for passing the bills that will allow the Audit Corruption in Marin Family Court.

Corrupt Marin Family Court System work together in concert and put children in harm way, covering up Domestic Violence, financial fraud/perjury, dismiss the fact/evidence of child abused and allow the abusive parents violate the court ordered on regular basis. Laws and local rules not follow in Marin Family Court.

Together, we can fix it. Children safety must come first.

This is crazy! i wish there was a posting about my home place of contra costa county (which is about 15 mins away from Marin County). i love that this is secific, this really hits home for me because i really want to become an advocate for children in the system who has no voice. I personally know what that is like.

Stay away from all government programs, do not accept money from the gov't, don't take money for anything even if it means going without. There is nothing worse than losing your child, and if you are in the system, your chances of losing your child are much greater. If you are abused, DO NOT GO TO A SHELTER, THEY WORK WITH CPS. Go to a friends, relatives or anywhere, do not go to a shelter - they work hand in hand with CPS to steal children.

I sharply disagree that PAS is bogus defense and a tool used by pediphles. My son, who I haven't seen in over three years was allienated from me, then drugged by his mother. He now has permanent brain damage. It's unfortunate when PAS defense is used by a bad and abusive parent. But I am neither, and I think anyone who says it isn't a legitimate defense is part of the same corrupt, gender bias family court system that is creating everyday the social ills of society.

It is family court crisis in our Country. Children become money making business for Child protective services, $4,000 to $6,000 to bonus for each child adopted out ot strangers and an additional $2,000 for a "special need" child. The caseworkers and social workers are very often guilty of fruad. They withold and destroy evidence. They fabricate evidence and seek to terminate parental rights unnecessarily. When charges are made against Child Protective Services, the charges are ignored.

The thing is this people, parental alienation is very real and very sad. My son is a invitro baby. It took us 3 years to create him and close to $50,000.00.

He was a twin, the twin died when i was 20 weeks pregnant. My son is the love of my life and I would die for him today!!!

PAS is an international issue.

I am from Singapore and we have the same problem here, and what I learnt is that this genuine issue in my country is to a certain extent being covered up and brushed aside due to the existence of Woman's Chartered, which is some kind of law set up to protect the interest of women.

Family Courts are never sympathetic about the victimised parents, this is the sad truth.

This documentary should be shown to all judges who work in family court, along with education about abusers. I've been dragged through many legal proceedings by my abusive ex-husband. When we were married, he raped me so violently that I had to have surgery to fix the damage. Nothing happened to him! And the rape continues via the legal system! It took seven years to get full custody of my kids. I've spent over $70,000 and 15 years on the legal battles with him, and we aren't done yet.

MCFC psychiatric recommendations are made in excess as a ploy to blame the victim and make the messenger of child abuse seem crazy. Therapy cannot cure bones broken from child abuse, nor erase the resultant scars.

Court appointed therapists are dangerously biased and dishonest, they harm children and their Mothers.

PAS seeps into other avenues that are connected to the court. To investigate CPS calls court mediators for their opinion and does not/will not contact the treating pediatrician, who filed the report. CPS suspects pediatrician only had contact with one parent. PAS was used by CPS to excuse late and non-response to child neglect/abuse pleas.

CJE Great job on the video. Parents use alienation to get their way on isolating the target parent. Your position and focus on alienation frankly diminishes the impact of your message. Yes PAS is junk science... But that doesn't mean that psychiatry is junk. All sciences in the wrong hands can be worthless if not destructive. Many judges, custody evaluators and attorneys are butchers of law and the science. The problem is in the system on alienation as a tool to deal with dysfunctional parents.

In the wrong hands it is just like PAS. However, alienation happens it is foolish to discount it as you have. Attorneys and judges missuse PAS as they do many other issues to come to the desired result. The problem is with the court not PAS.
