@amikwabi09 I remember singing this song with your dad and stan and pat. We sang it at rouseau pow wow in manitoba one time. Maybe its just me but out of all the songs we sang that weekend this was the one song that everyone liked and thanked us for.
thanks for the information amikwabi. Like it says in the description, this video was part of a collection I made thru the years. It means that it allready was on the internet on a different place.
And indeed, I didnt know - like I described before it is shared by me because I believe it can do good for people. Next time I will do more effort to find sources and double check.
If anyone has any problem with it, I will remove it. Like I said - its not my intention to disrespect :)
@amikwabi09 calm down! I'm sure no disrespect was intended when this video was posted if anything feel proud it's being past around so others can enjoy it.
I am Iroquois(Cayugan)/Cherokee.But small percentage of Shawnee in the mix.Kivin in Canada is awesome. So many Native people still around.I have alot of Ojibway friend sin Ontario.
Yes the ancient Irish were Celtic and all the Celtic peoples(including the Picts) had a similar language, religion and culture going back to before 1000 BC.The southern Netherlands were once Celtic too!Actually the Irish are still Celtic.
The native Americans of Wisconsin I know of are the Ojibway,Sioux,Menomonee,Sauk,Fox,Kickapoo, and Winnebago(Ho-Chunck).Plus the Onieda and Potawatomi came later.
Id like to be let loose around there with a few of my buddies
We'd clean house and get to enjoy some good thrashing of a few drunk Indians
The pork a few squaws in celebration...us white men call that a "Victory Fuck"

This song was carried by my late father Alex Skead.
This is his ceremonial "Red Horse Pipe Song."
Did you have permission from the family to post this song?
Do you not know that our songs are sacred?
You need to be carefully of what kind of songs you post, you can get into trouble.
Next time ask.

Traditional song. Some refer to it as the Horse song here in northern Minnesota, sung on our ceremonial drums.

Ello irishoforiel,
About all these tribenames etc. I know nothing. Tho about the tribalism in (northern) europe, I'm interested in myself as well :-)
I think then the old irish you're talking about would come closer to the picts then? or something entirely different?
Greetings from the Netherlands :-)
