@christentze Too true! One time my husband and I were sitting listening to a sermon. It was in one of those college assending classrooms where the little desks fold up and down so you can get out. Well, something the minister said set me off! We'd had a private joke and he happened to hit on something about it. I looked at my hubby and he was trying not to laugh. Hurting because you can't laugh and it makes it worse. I finally had to leave. Got control, came back only to set him off. Torment

Got this movie on DVD in Manila.Seen it several times since. As it turned out it was better then I expected .... and I'm not even a woman - only addicted to chick-flicks, especially Korean. I guess it was because of Helen Mirren being in it that I bought the movie in the first place but the other actresses do a pretty good job as well.

@ssesf There are Korean chick flicks? It's obvious that there would be, thinking about it but it's something that sounds so strange to me for some reason. Any good ones? Never watched a Korean film...might have to get one with subtitles.

@Rachiejane1 South Korean TV Dramas have been popular around the world for years. I saw my first in Colombia with Spanish subtitles! As for romantic comedies popularity it started around 2000. On You Tube they usually come with English subtitles. My favorite is "My Little Bride". I've got many on a playlist "movies korean" all with English subs.

I remember seeing this movie at the local cineplex with my mother when it first came out. It did very well when it was released in the US. The audience we saw it with loved it as much as we did.

It was one of the few occasions I can remember at the movies where the audience actually applauded during the closing credits, I remember that most of all.

(The only other movie I remember the audience applauding was the 1991 Canadian film "Strangers In Good Company.")

And.... I go to Kilnsey SHow every year and last year it absolutely pissed it down and there was no grass to be seen just mud so this year it shud be sunny cos thats what happens rain, sun, rain, sun and another thing the crag race never starts like that . . . sorry I no its a film nut when youve grown up with it you know x x x
