Wow. I was at this show, standing right by the camera, but not in the shot. For part of the show I was back stage (to the left). I was 14. This was the first time I'd heard Mortal and I bought this album and played it a million times. Also the first time I bought music for myself instead of just listening to my parents' music and it was the beginning of my love for rock. I saw them again later at Drexel in Philly where I met them and also had pizza with Klank and Scott of Circle of Dust.
Lusis was awesome and Fathom rocked my balls off, Wake was listenable. I didn't care for the rest of their albums. The Intense Live Series CD was their best imo.
Very cool! Thanks for this video. I'm not into "christian rock" anymore, but these guys are indeed ranked among my all time fav's. I was fortunate to see them once. If I remember right it was winter of '93 in St. Charles, Mo. Awesome.
Jerome played various instruments for Mortal, but for this particular performance he played bass guitar. He has the long dark hair on the right hand side of the screen (stage left).
I heard POD and Project 86 use to open for these guys. They were ahead of their time. Till this day I still throw my hands up in the air , look up and scream " Yea, the Word is Alive!!!" People look at me strange.......but who cares ?
i have 3 disc of mortal, "lusis, nu-em-jin and wake"... im really wanna have the another discs of mortal, like "fathom, pura and mortal".. you know where i can download it?? in the contry that i live, its to very hard a buy discs of mortal..
That was so cool of Tim Tabor to let Mortal come up and do a song during the Prayer Chain set.Jerome and Gyro have gone on to other work aka Switchfoot/Crystal Lewis. I hope Tims able to put together REALLY Cool Concerts with Transparent Productions. GO Apostles Tim!!!! THE WORD IS ALIVE!!
@MactelMordek - jerome fontamillas.... If you still want to know

Mortal is great band.
..much better than Switchfoot in my opinion. It's great that Jerome has a grammy, but he should have won it for Lusis!

I miss those guys. My favorite album is "Wake". Fold Zandura was a very good sequel band, but nothing beats Mortal.
