Today, 3/2/2010, I combined this video with the one that was taken just before this one that shows the teams coming into the field, the coin toss with Siran and his daughter at the middle of the field, and Siran doing what he did in this video. To me, it is even more touching because you hear a "different" kind of yelling from the crowd: There's the screams for each teams as they enter the field, then, there's sort of a "quieter" yelling at first with Siran, then the joyous yells at the end.
Thank you so much for your comment. There have been great sports moments in this game's series: Stabler's run, Ogden's return, Punt-Bama-Punt, Tiffin's kick, Coach Dye tearfully hugging Coach Stallings before that last game, etc., but something tells me that years from now, when someone asks me, what was the greatest moment I ever personally saw in the Alabama-Auburn series, I will rightfully remember this as being THE one.
Yeah I cannot imagine what this man has had to endure after the tragic incident I do not call that a accident I heard the driver that hit him and his family was drinking. Horrible situation.
This still gives me chills and brings tears to my eyes watching this. I was at this game and it was def. my favorite moment in Alabama football history.
I'm not old enough to remember Siran Stacy play (I'm 19), but I cried when this happened. It seemed like, for a moment, he forgot about everything and just enjoyed being alive. I teared up again when I saw this video, cause I didn't see his daughter before (I was in the student section). RTR Siran.
These are the moments that show the character of a man. Truely a highlight for not just alabama but for man everywhere. Truely an eye watering moment.
Wow, thank you for videotaping this! I swear I was looking for this the day after the Iron Bowl! I too cried like a baby when I saw him. Knowing his story about losing his wife and kids and then seeing him run down that field with so much passion was so awe-inspiring and so moving! I could not stop the tears from rolling down my eyes and I love that Bryant-Denney gave him the respect he deserved cheering him on. That was the highlight of that game for me =)
One of the most memorable moments to ever happen at Bryant-Denny stadium, I was there and the crowd erupted when this happened. Seeing this still brings tears to my eyes, and just shows how he has kept the Faith and overcome this. God bless you Siran, and keep on seeking Him daily!! Roll Tide!!
AWESOME!! I was there and he did that right in front of me. It was so inspiring! Really put things into perspective.
I can't believe he threw is commemorative game ball in the stands but I thin he was making a point: After all I've been through this is just a game! Amen!
I took the video, and I, too, cried as I took it. I lost my wife to cancer, and the pain was immeasurable to me, but it strengthened my faith. I do not know what Siran was thinking as he ran down the sidelines, but you can almost sense him shedding everything and feeling, if only for a moment, a total lack of grief, for he seemed to be so full of joy, as if his family was there, along with his Alabama family.
Hey i am only a 22 year old college student here at Alabama... But i would have to say that this was the best moment of the iron bowl.. besides during rammer jammer this was the loudest bryant- denny has ever been.. and yes it was louder than the Florida game in 05
Thank you for posting is video! How awesome to see Siran and his beautiful daughter enjoying this moment. I hope that, at least for a moment, Siran like his old self.
Man theres nothing like college football.

I'm an Auburn fan but THIS sort of thing...doesn't matter WHO you are for on the field. THIS is about humanity. God Bless you Siran!
