About Quarantine, it is a remake of a spanish horror film which was one of my favorite movies from last year (REC) And i hate to say but you saw the poor mans imitation version of (REC). (REC) was FUCKING AWESOME when i saw it, i don't get scared easily in movies and this movie scared the shit out of me. Dude i'm sorry you saw the sucky version of it like most people but if you want to give it another chance, LOOK FOR IT AND WATCH IT IN THE DARK. TRUST ME.

the christians dig into their own holes. Bill Maher just asks questions and lets them explain and he just corrects what they say is wrong. I loved it. And it's got nothing to do with my beliefs. this movie made me laugh and why i think it is great is because it asks hard questions that i think need to be asked. Like mine is How do you know what happens when you die if you've never died before?

Yeah, that's why I said I was with Bill Maher's side on most of the arguments. Even if I wasn't a christian I probably would have still been annoyed with how ignorantly one-sided the film is. It's not a documentary exploring religion, it's 2 hours of Bill Maher being... Bill Maher.

I wasn't annoyed by how one-sided it was. Also, it is very easy to find stupid Christians, because it is impossible to find a smart one. It is a film of Bill Maher exploiting the stupid ideologies that run with Christianity and its followers. It also shows how much of war mongers theists are and how it is socially, economically, and politically destroying our society. Like Mr. Kincaid said, it doesn't a very good point until the end, with the fairy tail analogy, which is pure brilliance.

Plus, I just got into this new "atheist" mode, and I believe that this is the mindset that I will have for a very long time. And enough with the subliminal insults such as "kid." I didn't say I didn't like him, most of his films don't have a center conflict. Goodfellas, Raging Bull, Taxi Driver and Casino(to name a few) are more of chracter studies/bios that go from 1 problem to another without a consistant story- like this film did.

I don't know if you've seen Guillermo del Toro's Pan's Labyrinth (El Laberinto del fauno) it's an amazing film and it's all in subtitles. It doesn't bother me at all. You should check it out.

i never had any desire to watch Religulous cuz i HATE Bill Maher and i was glad that you felt the same way. i kinda liked Quarantine, some of the parts were laughable but it got pretty intense in some parts. I really like foreign films. they open up a whole new world that i have never seen. have you seen Diving Bell and the Butterfly? that is one of my favorite, not just foreign films, but films in general. i highly recommend it
