Harry died in the blast, but it's hard for me to call him a "victim" of the eruption. No, what would have been sad is if he had been forced to leave and had died lonely in some nursing home in Longview or Portland. Instead, he got to live the end of his life exactly as he wanted, and he remains with his mountain forever.

@mountainskys Hey 4freespeech don't have to judge. Harry judged himself and now

he's where he will be for eternity. It IS FREE SPEECH. Truman had the right to

curse and swear at God, which makes some people sick, but you think nobody

has the right to tell the truth about where that kind of behavior will get you. As for

MY freedom of speech concerning vulgar old fool Harry- getting buried under

a zillion tons of rock & mud finally shut him up. I wouldn't want my kids around

the old drunk.

@4freespeech Just relax, he isn't saying it in the context you think. He was simply a grumpy old man that says goddamn instead of f*ck . It's how his generation said the f word, my grandpa used to say it all the time. It didn't mean anything more than a strong word to make a point.

I hate to hear him keep using the Lord's name in vain. I used to live up there and remember Mt. St. Helens - incredibly beautiful place before the eruption.
