Now for me, as A 100% self taught drummer, I'm one of those drummers that will just play around on the kit trying new things all the time, That's how I get better, I learn from hearing other people too. Recently I was playing around with Opening and closing my High hat, and I now Love it, I've tried so many variations, I'm in love with doing the typical beat, But then adding a second stroke on the highat inbetween, and opening it, So to explain it on here: + is an open highat, - Is closed..

The way I mean is a typical beat going 1- 2- 3- 4- 1- 2- and so one. just simple changing it to 1- 2- 3- + 4- Can make the beat sound even better, Not only that you could change it up so its + + +-+, Or - - - ++

So cheers for another great video jared, I'll probably watch over the beginner and intermediate too.
