They're not very well prepared. That's the wrong type of fire extinguisher. It's a CO2 extinguisher - useless for this type of experiment.

CO2 actually fuels alkali metal fires. It doesn't extinguish them.

Spraying CO2 at burning caesium would be like spraying oxygen at it.
