From the first episode... they had Wolverine belt Cyclops... I was like "whoa." From the outset, they wanted it to be clear this wasn't going to be some "happy family" SUPERFRIENDS crap like Superman, Batman and company.
Its funny, because Wolverine doesn't do this type of stuff in the films, or that often when he does. Talking of the rogue anti-hero stuff.
Goodness, he's been too hero in all of em, aside parts of the first. The openning was the best portrayal of Wolverine, as the rest was simply attitude, not a wild side. They even have him know of wrong and right in Origins, when his memory would be erased in Team X, where he's an unstoppable killing machine.
Plus, Wolverine has never shown his agile side in fighting anyone in any of the films too, as he's improved since one, but he's really a bear and not a Wolverine. He isn't quick witted and uses speed to get the upperhand of those stronger than he is.
He can't even fend off a lone gaurd in X2, as if the Hulk himself. Pathetic. He just stinks at fighting in general most the time and just stood there and got dealt everything dished by Sabertooth without much to show for it.

I only noticed now that they use some sort of energy weapons because they don't cause bleeding. Interesting way to make shooting more kiddy sensored.
