  • It looks like they're dancing. :) This is beautifullll.

  • theyre alive

  • looks like hands trying to grasp the sun

  • they were all dancing celebrating life! cool.

  • I absolutely love it when you see plants following the light :)

  • Ch-ch-ch-ch-chia!

  • The ents are marching.

  • They are alive! Vegans need to stop eating these precious creatures!

  • imagine if plants moved like this real time

  • now do a time lapse of how long it takes a bunny to eat through that.

  • wow

    Veri nice

  • chi chi chi chiaaaa

  • "The sun... the sun..."

  • Looks like thay really likr to grow Towards the light.. :)

  • did you know that plants lean towards the light? well, here's your proof!

  • i swear they lean from one side to another for a reason, like for sunlight or something?

  • they were dancing to the song i was listening to while i watched this xD

  • they turnining all the time to the sun

  • I thought a bright classical song playing softly will match it quite nicely.

  • Hehehehe so cute!! They look like they're listening in on conversations.

  • oh wow it is like a little forest :)

  • ITS ALIVE!!!

  • You immediately notice how they follow the sunlight.

  • Looks more like alfafa sprouts. But looks delicious anyway.

  • They are alive so im not surprised they moved like that....

  • its alive !

  • even plants dream of becoming ballerinas. lol!

  • around 1:00 it looks like the seaweed under water o.o

  • Do the wave! :D Lol I'll think twice before eating that again !

  • no i like this video better without a song. thank you "mnolf" for not putting a song in because it distracts the whole point of the story. every time i watch time lapse, i turn down the volume because i want to understand what the person was thinking when he saw the scene and what he/she is trying to tell us

  • rsrsrs... quando o sol aparece eles ficam doidinhos.

  • Am I the only one creeped out by this? They look like squirmy worms. It will make me think twice about eating sprouts.

  • @LadyBluemantle No, I got creeped too...

  • ...And the plant's thoughts drifted. It, vaguely aware of the hyperexistant organisms instantaniously flashing past, wished it too, can think and move as fast as them. These creatures, sometimes -in-a-flash-, pulled his cousins out of the very life source. Stories were past that these teleporting creatures built huge machines that murdered millions faster than the sprout of a leaf! against these super-beings... what was there to do but grow toward the light?

  • They are alive. xXxREDSOXxXx. i have the same question as skarlbiog.

  • looks like their alive, with them mooving towards the ligh :D

  • Oh but they are alive. o3o

  • they are alive ¬¬

  • they are alive, they just dont have feelings, thoughts and flesh like mammals and other. :)

  • @xXxREDSOXxXx uhhhhh, they ARE alive. so are all plants. thats kind of how they, you know, LIVE!

  • (:- (o) hooo

  • Dont You Use A video Camera?

  • wooorms

  • looks like mini enchanted forest.

  • @MidnightPsychoKiller yea it looks pretty cool :)

  • Fantastic, not too keen on the jumps though

  • looks tasty :)

  • I love how they lean towards the sun during the day, and lean toward the lamp at night but not as much as the sun because its a weaker light source

  • it looks freaky

  • THEY'RE ALIVE!!

  • what is that? can someone please tell me?

  • cress grwath dumbass read the title

  • Yay for positive phototropism!

  • I always liked this as part of a salad, but I don't know how good it is it for Nutrition ?

  • it would be better with a nice relaxing song was in this vid... like air or acoustic guitar

  • Makes you almost think they have a fragment of consciousness

  • they all grow towards the light, all living things have the will to keep living

  • the cress is fighting for the light ^^

  • the middle part is the best, like a bowl of worms

  • This is beautiful

  • that's how much i move in the same time period. lol

  • it's eerie when plants move like animals

  • lol, ya, im glad plants dont move that fast in real time.

  • Ents,walkin trees and shit!

  • Incredible, if ever I needed an example that a plant was alive and moving, this would be what I would use.

  • Haha, exquisite!

  • it was interestin' to watch it sway like that ^^

  • That, is, so, awesome!! :D

  • mr astley's is much betta

    GO MR ASTLEY!

    lol

  • thats well cool, but didnt u water it? or does cress not need to be watered? anyway so i guess u musta fast forwarded the film to like ths rite, i meen reely reely reely fast forwarded rite? lol

  • It's not fast-forwarded; in time-lapse filming you record a frame every few minutes, it's not being filmed every single second :) I have no idea about the watering needs of cress, however.

  • after they were a lil bit green it looked like little green people working on a farm lol cool vid

  • That was cool! =D But it made me dizy. lmao

  • amazing isn't it? now i truly know that plant really reach for the light

  • I love how this video clearly shows that plants like to grow towards the light ^_^ Really great video, what kind of equipment do you use to film this?

    I love turtles!!!

  • omg they're horrrible freaks i tell you FREAKKS!!

  • lol

  • Little Arms trying to get some light..

  • they plants follow the direction of the light. like during sunrise and set

  • Great fun! I used to work in sound effects, and I imagined crowd noises, cheering and booing, as the cress moved around. It almost seems to behave like a human crowd.

  • amazing ! no words!

  • Wonderful, the video really shows what life is. This vivid pulsation in the cress we would expect from animals but not from plants.

  • amazing

  • ye that was funny when they all leaned towards the light kinda competing who gets the most light

  • that is crazy

  • we need to do that but with a teenage kid or something to see how he grow.. and look after a period of time..

  • this was an excellent time lapse film... you know... ive always said this... ever since i was little.... they need to make a tv channel, completely dedicated to time lapse filmography.

  • whats cress

  • Wow - that is quite freaky, the way they seem like alien tentacles waving around and suddenly reaching en-masse for the light. Amazing video, thanks for posting it.

  • Very cool.

  • as boring as watching grass grow

  • killer

    http://markus nolf org/gallery.php?s=218&highlight=1853,1854

  • Cool video, very interesting. If you added some music to accompany it though it would be even better. I love the way the seedlings always lean towards the source of light.

  • yes, it's lacking music.

i didn't have the proper utility back then...

  • aww they're so cute trying to get to the sun

  • lmao its fake boys its playdough

  • that's the most fun we've had watching plants grow in... well... FOREVER!

  • this show that that plants are living

  • I thought that plants are dead yet they continue to grow because of magical powers from space creatures. But your explanation sounds good too.

  • lol (i just had to say lol)

  • You schould put some music on! g

  • Wild and amazing! For fans of time-lapse, check out "Tuesdays wtih Felix": a year in the life of a baby.

  • yeah. they turn to the light :D

  • this made my skin crawl... luked awful

  • Wonderful !!!

  • It's good but it would be better with an artificial ultra violet light source instead of natural lighting.

  • pooberry "Wow. Mesmerizing. It almost looks like they're alive. What are you gonna eat now, vegetarians?!? " LOL i know wot you mean :P but they ARE live... To me it looks like a crowed of people... and i love how they all sway taword the sunlight.. Funny.

  • This video make my skin crawl it was awesome. The Photosynthesis was so awesome, it was almost like they plants were living, so sweet!

  • yes, plants ARE living creatures...

btw: 10 comments within 10 hours - where does all that popularity come from suddenly?

  • x.x; I know that it just made me sound stupid. I meant it in the sense like they were...like, REALLY alive, like partying and stuff.

  • The front page has a time lapse balloon thing featured. Your time lapse comes up in the related box. Traffic by association. :)

  • Yep. That's how I got here hehe

  • Imagine that, living plants :|

  • Someone should do a Mjwana plant growing that would be so much cooler
