I want to learn more Mandarin. My Mandarin is like Indian people speaking Mandarin. Very embarrassing. I learned Mandarin in High school when I was in HK but never was good at it.

We in Hong Kong, We never say 害怕，We only say 驚。

That is HK only.. in "parts" of Canton, they say "har pa"... like in HK, they say

"sam muun"..but in parts of Canton, they say "quan muun"... sorry, my pinyin is off.. but you get the idea..

As a matter of fact, I dont get what you wanna say " sam muun" or "quan muun". I guess you can't type chinese characters in your computer, right ? Would you say the meaning of them in English ? If you do, guess I can get the idea. Thanks.
