omg in the beginning did anyone see steve carrell (if i am not mistaken)?? he saw colbert and raised his eyebrows and smiled in jest!! that was so awesome!!
Stephen's such a nice guy. You know a lot of people there would've probably turned that guy down in since he isn't "well known" but he answered his question with humor. And I don't think he was making fun of him. The interviewer seems to be very well aware of Stephen's character and what he does, so I'm pretty sure he knew he was being funny. Hence the long silence followed by the "How am I doing?" The both of them were just playing around a bit.
Um, no. Outside of character, Stephen isn't that kind of guy. Yeah, he was poking fun at the media and at reporters in general, but he wouldn't have been trying to put that guy down in any way. They were just having fun. (And, IMO, Stephen was hilarious.)
I don't know about that...I thought he did a good job. Smart enough to use the advice Colbert gave him right there on the spot. Good rapport, nice snippet.
Go for the throat. Go for the juggulars. YOu're a member of the press. Latch on to someone's soul and suck till it's dry. Get your story or don't come back at all. That's the best advice I can give you. Also ask questions and even when the person answers, just let the silence fall and in that
silence their fear will drive them to say things they wished they had never

This comment has received too many negative votes show
lol stephen clearly making fun of the guy, telling him to latch onto someones soul and suck till its dry, and he is just too stupid to get it.

i've seen interviews of sthephen out of character and he's much more laid back. he is in character here.
kenhatesemos 3 years ago 2
Yeah, he's acting like his character as part of the joke, but he's not actually *attacking* the guy.
