  • Such a cool opportunity! Thanks for sharing your view.

  • @GNYBerlin and thank you for liking it and by this sharing this video with me! I have a very similuar video where I was invited to an ICE cabin like this. I will share it once I start with more regular uploads!

  • @YOZcreative Can't wait to see it!

  • hehe wie er es auf englisch versucht zu erklären ... ich finds sympathisch :)

  • Ha ha ICE = TGV HaHaHa.

And Porsche = Ferrari. I am very sorry but you have no idea...!!

  • I will still like the bullet more though in Japan....those r amazing

  • That's cool how you can see into the drivers compartment. In America, the driver is some mythical creature who's kept hidden from the public for some reason lol

  • "I drove a 621 b for years , This traction locomotive is a variant" Good night it has 7 times the speed of a acela" "I should im 50 with experence"

  • wooo can't wait to sit on it on the 21st

  • my god, if the driver cab could be filmed whilst moving in the uk, aslef would go mental!

  • i think the netherlands germany and france , have one of the best fastest, en best lookin trains in the world.

yes i know the japanese bullet trains

we european have a nose for comfort speed .....and something the eye likes . STYLE.

    respect to all

  • "The unitrd states needs to ,drop our cars, and ride high speed, it's ridiculus the millionsof damn highway's GO HIGH SPEED TRAINS"

  • Lol i thought the first class was nice on board our british first great western HST's but these ICE trains are very very nice, looks almost like an airliner.

  • Who is that lady sitting behind the engineer?

  • well that is 1 weird train

  • it is very hard to understand the whole system. I am in an education to a train driver in germany.

  • good luck man!!!.

give us a docu on youtube about it ??

it would be unique, and very intresting!!

again wish you well and pass the test

  • thank you :) but i think it is not possible. We as apprentices are not allowed to film something there

  • I know who its gonna hit....YOU

  • have you buy ticket?

  • " The train trip from amsterdam to frankfort, was it smoking or non smoking???

  • it is an ENGINEERING MARVEL --- what else can i say??

  • ICE is an TGV??? LOLOLOLOL

  • I'd really love to go inside one of those cabins!! ;)

  • Who cares about max speed enjoy the fucking ride already!

  • my bro drove from Cologne to Zurich using this train and he said there werent any 300 km/h at all.

  • guess it depends on the route, though still these trins rarely go at their max/near max speeds due to track limitations...

  • "i RODE IN THE N.C.'S VARIENT .THE HIGH CENTER OF GRAVITY MADE IT ROLL. bUT THE RIDE WAS RELAXING AND VERY COMFORTABLE

  • Probably not a good idea to let anyone into the cabin.

  • Nice one! That must have been a rare experience indeed! Very kind of the gentleman to explain everything.

  • The ICE is NOT a variant of the TGV. These trains don't have anything in common.

  • "These trains are about the same. Mysimulator runs the ICE faster. I've been in the cab of a small LOCOMOTIVE] tHE tgv IS DIFFUCULT to drive harder than the ICE..........BUT IT CAN BE DONE.

  • "Ive rode north carolina's State owed

    amtrak but only the carolinian

  • "Let me add The 621 Case is much easier to drive than the French .

  • @eltfell Yes they do. What he meant to say is that the ICE is the high speed train of Germany as the TGV is the high speed train of France. Both are high speed train in their respective countries.

  • @Omithy That would be the same category. When something is called a variant, it's more or less the same with some changes. The double decker TGV is a variant of the "normal" TGV. The Thalys is a variant of the TGV. But the ICE isn't.

  • @eltfell I know what you mean. I'm just trying to explain what he meant but never explained his point well enough.

  • @eltfell They are both in Europe?

  • @TVperson1 Yes. TGV in France, ICE in Germany.

  • Americans, always try to be the world champions.

  • Always, but when it comes down to trains they have not got a clue lol

  • not only trains lol

  • True lol, that said you can't beat German and French trains we (The Brits) might catch up one day:)

  • i think you (The Brits) are already catching up

  • :-D :-D :-D 10.054 km/h! :-)

  • [To "325350965" and "AXELHEEREN"]

I know about American Railroads...here's a fact: the maximum speed of the Acela (which is the fastest train in North America) is 165 miles per hour, but it's restricted to 150 because of signaling, i believe. Obviously, America does not have the fastest trains in the world. To me it's between Germany, France, and Japan. But that's just me.

  • "Youre right, The United States is far far behind we need a ICE OR tgv OR SOMETHING KUDO'S TO YA

  • good video but the TGV does not do 357.2mph it does 201 mph, and the eurostar beat that when the fast link opend up and they do 210 mph

  • acctually it does 574.8 KMH. if you dont believe me you can search it up on youtube just type in the search bar TGV 574kmh

  • Very interesting thankyou for showing.

  • Austrian English! If you don't have the experience in accuracy and fluency, it is pretty har....

I am Austrian so I may make fun of!

  • this is not a tgv - this is a emu

  • very gut german inglisch .... :) austrian inglisch ... ich hau mich ab ...

  • wrong wrong wrong , im a employer at germanys DB

and we can drive 400 kmh at a long way but the chiefs are the meanning we dont have to drive more than 300 kmh...and the first ice plan since 1989 have a plan with atrain with 300 kmh at a normal drive speed. a tgw at this time was at 250 kmh !!!! german ingeneurs are the best , what ever ya say..

  • Hi , I'm Locomotivfuhrer & rail security agent and i was travell with booth trains DB-ICE and TGV. German trains have comercial speed on maximum 300Km/h but between Koln and Paris and on some perts of Germany. ICE have some restrioned speed by INDUSI and SIFA speed control instalation. TGV are rulled with comercial speed 300 Km/h. Maximum control speed are used only on speed test.

    ALLES GUTTE und Tckchuss .

  • no your not?

  • I think what was meant was that the ICE is Germany's version of the TGV (TGV only means "Train of grand speed" crudely translated). Both are what one would refer to as HSTs. A fellow at DB once told me that both trains are capable of greater speeds but that they are approved for use on the rails at 320/330 ("Zugelassen"). The TGV that reached 500+ was severly modified for that one test only and the French raised the voltage from 25KV to 31KV on that one day too. The ICE does look slick though!

  • yer english gave me a headache..

  • yeah it sucks

  • try speaking german properly ...

  • don't you hate it when idiots come into 1st class!! Piss off back to standard!!

  • ur actin like you think ur better than people in standard i my self also travel first and standerd however im not acting like a jerk

  • :D lol!!! ICE is no TGV variant!they are both high speed trains but the ICE is german, the TGV french!!!

  • how much does this ride cost

  • You must pay another driver and it costs 100€ for an hour.

  • Wow~ This is impossible in Japan.

The driver's space is completely shut and the driver looks more stressed...

    ICE looks better :D

  • What a bloody rubbish! No way the ICE 3 is a "TGV-Variant"!!!!!! The TGV is a French Train produced by Alstom, the ICE 3 is a German train produced by Siemens. Both trains go regularly by 300 km/h. The ICE 3 has a Vmax of 330 km/h, the TGV of 320 km/h. However, a modified TGV reached 515,3 km/h. After this world record the tracks had to be changed since they were severely damaged by one single run. Check your informations before posting such false information in your video.

  • The TGV actually hit 574 km/h on its second run, a few days after its intial trial of 515.

  • ICE is definitely not a TGV unit, they are not related whatsoever, different manufacturers but they both can be licensed by bombardiar.

  • I was in Germany, coming from Munich to Lichtenfels, during the journey we had a couple ICE's pass us, man they are fast!!

  • Nyce comentary and video. From wherre line are that video make? I was between Dusseldorf Hbf and Amsterdam; Dusseldorf Hbf-Vien Vestbahnhoff.

  • Unusual for passengers to be able to see the driving cab from their seats

  • Not really. If you get on the rear cab of a GO Train, you can see the drivers cab.

  • how much does this ride cost

  • this is the god train !!amazing design..... all about klm/h ooo omg i want to be a michanic!!!!

  • i just applied to become a mechanic at city rail exciting :D

  • j'adore ce train, il est trop beau, l'intérieur à l'air spacieux et lumineux, c'est la class !!

en même temps c'est normal c'est allemand, et tout ce qui est fabriqué par les allemands c'est solide :D

  • do you have GPS! lol. Pleas make a U turn in 200 meters.

  • the english language skills of those guys are a shame. i'm saying that as a german.

  • sure, his english sux .. however, germany might be one of the few places in the world where a loco-operator speaks some english

  • lol in sweden they repeat EVREYTHING in english after they said it in swedish

  • Heil deutschland bro :D

  • That's funny how the smoking cabin is right up next to the drivers cabin. You're not allowed to smoke at all on American trains, let alone right next to those that work there.

  • Germany was the last smokers paradise in Europe. For years Germany attempted to prevent tobacco advertising bans in the EU through lawsuits. The smoking lobby had the government in its pocket. The days of the smokers paradise are now numbered.

  • fucking weak! I'm sick of being treated like a damn animal. Here their trying to pass a complete public smoking ban. Under which the only two places where it will be legal to smoke is inside your car, and inside your own house.

  • Max Speed of electric ICE is:

    ICE-T 230 km/h

    ICE1/2 280km/h

    ICE3 330km/h

The actual running speed depends on the track and not the train. Under normal signalization system speed up to 160km/h with an onbord signalization (LZB) 200km/h, exceptional 230km/h ( Hamburg-Berlin) New build lines Hannover Wurzburg and Mannheim Stuttgart Wolfsburg - Berlin max speed permitted is 280km/h and on Cologne-Frankfurt and Nuremberg Ingolstadt 300km/h is the max design speed.

  • Oh what a whole bunch of senseless half true stuff....

TGV max speed is 300km/h. On the Paris to Strassbourg section 320 km/h. However 1st generation TGV (1981) was running only 260km/h max

  • Yes, and Thalys and TGV´s are build with german brake technology (Knorr-Bremse), the largest train and truck brake maker. Owner of American Bendix and ITT Braking Systems.

The Velaro is the fastest available, serial High-Speed Train in the world. The TGV speed record train is only a test train, not available and build with non-series technology!

Look at this TGV speed record train, only three cars, this is not a real serial train, sorry.

  • in fact, i don't understand people saying "the tgv is the fastest train in the world" just because one day they took one modifying it like an airplane...a serious valutation has to be done about the serial trainsets. And a serial ICE 3 is faster than a serial TGV.

  • Fastest serial-train of the world is the ICE-Velaro (this train is really in use!) with a speed > 410 km/h). The french record was a costly 10 Minutes-Test made by a highly modified train with uncommon extra high voltage, sharpend rails etc...etc... Life-endurance of the train: 10 Minutes (motors are absolutely inable for commercial use). Costs for the 10-Minutes-ride: ca. 40 Million Euro(!). Last week I went with a TGV and compared to the ICE it's an old, uncomfortable loud train.

  • Hi, the german ICE is not a french TGV variant. These are two completely different technical trains.

    They are competing trains.

  • Speaking as a train driver myself, I don't quite like the idea that passengers can watch your every move. What about psychological issues when there is a collision with a pedestrian / motor vehicle or suicide victim??? Not pleasant.

  • The glass wall between the driver's and passenger cabins is electrochromic which means that the driver can turn it opaque at the switch of a button. That was built into the train for exactly the reasons you mentioned. However, even when then wall is switched to opaque you can see the driver as though looking through thick fog... but perhaps that opacity is even gradual and the driver on my train today didn't set it to maximum.

  • The red/white train in the beginin is not an TGV. Thats an ICE (Inter City Express)

  • NYCE IMAGE ! BUT.. ICE are diferent than French TGV. You up in train from DUSELDORF Hbf? I'm locomotive driver but i not run with 330Km/h, maximum are 200Km/h

  • Firstly, the TGV is not regularly the fastest train. It only worked because they had additional propulsion in the attached waggon.

Secondly the ICE train has nothing to do with the French TGV.

  • Europe ROCKS when it comes to transportation technology... America built just 1 HST line in Northeastern USA and even that' one's not perfect...

  • European rail ae development verry god the electric railsistem. In USA the freight transport are development but with DIESEL TRACTION. Diference from EARTH to MOON !

  • A sight you rarely ever see. Amtraks' locomotives have a separated entrance for the driver

  • not the express

  • Beautiful cabin, very clean and futuristic.

  • Of course, it's a SIEMENS made!

  • You are right. This is a Siemens made.

  • nice! but germany innovated this meglev technolgy earlier and developed a train, sill in service

  • I think japan has one of these except it runs on electro magnets.

  • I think japan has one of these except it runs on electro magnets I think

  • COOL that`s like first class

  • 578.8 km/h?never!

  • look it up on youtube "TGV speed record". You'll see.

  • Actually,it was a Japanese train running at 584Km/h.

  • yep the japanese have the record now on the maglev you can ride it for 8$ in tokyo

  • BUT NOT ON THE CLASIC RAILWAY ! What is maximum speed of the SHINKANSEN ?

  • The maximum speed of the SHINKANSEN is

    300 km/h

  • 160km/h isn't that fast for german train drivers, the normal suburban (s-bahn) trains go 160km/h. I found that the TGV train was a lot faster but the ICE is way more luxurious.

  • Complete nonsense. ICE != TGV.

  • The record-TGV had a lifetime of 10 Minutes (after it it was out-burned) and costs 45 Mio. Dollar. Alstom (TGV) has not the technology for steady states to go over 320 km/h.

  • Funny Film. First point: The fastest serial-train is the ICE-Velaro (ca. 420 km/h / cruising speed up to 360 km/h, from deciembre on in spain 350 km/h ) and not the TGV (Vmax around 350km, crusing maximum 320 km/h). The so called speed record-TGV was made under absolute abnormal conditions with an abnormal, extremely shorten train, special tracks and with abnormal high voltage...etc. ICE is not a variant of TGV, ICE is a completely other, more advanced system from Siemens.

  • The track between Frankfurt-KöLn is fpr 300km/h not more,and Nurnberg-Ingolstadtthe self not Nurnberg-Munch !!!!!!

  • The driver wasn't driving the train at 330km/h but 160km/h because the line his train was on was not a high speed line. Only in France, on the LGV Est Europeen line does the TGV ride at its heighest speed.

  • what are you guys on??? this the german ICE, which has absolutely nothing to do with the french TGV!!! they are technologically wastly different, were developed independently!

the track between Koeln and Frankfurt is indeed a 330kmh track, and the trip from Amsterdam must go through this track!

  • And what are you on??? I have never said that the TGV and ICE are of the same design. In fact, I never even mentioned the word design. All I'm saying is that the ICE in this video is NOT, and I repeat, NOT traveling at 330kmh, because Germany has no 330kmh track so far, only 300kmh track between Nurnberg and Munchen.

  • you don't make any sense! you comment in a video which is presented as the ICE being a 'TGV variant', claim that it only could have gone 160kmh because only in france the TGV goes on 1 line full speed. wtf??? you live a few years behind it seems, france has more than 1 line with above 300kmh, and the koeln frankfurt line is a 300kmh! not 330, but certainly not 160!!!

  • calm down, guys! As a fact:

    - ICE and TGV are independet, therefore ICE is NOT a TGV-Variant. ICE is build by Siemens and TGV is build by Alstom.

    - Both ICE and TGV drive Max. 300 km/h in Germany and 320 km/h in France. The top speed doesn't depend on the train, but on the track construction and signal specification.
