People are all wrong about entitlement programs. My guess is that 50 percent of the money spent on entitlement programs is administration costs. So if we get rid of them look at all the government workers that will loose their jobs.

Where would those "50.000" troops be stationed when 150 bases are already closed or handed over to the Iraqi?
As for the spreadsheet the debt/GDP for 2008 was 0.32 and for 2009 is 0.48.
I'm not a mathematician but how could that confirm that the interest expense under Obama will increase to $20000/y when the spreadsheet shows the debt/GDP is only +0.16 and the interest expense under Bush is $4840?

Things on the ground can change and based on the closing of bases lately (30 bases in 30 days) Obama doesn't need to put that many troops in Iraq anymore.

Because the only kind i know which is relevant to this is the 9/11 commission and AFAIK according to them Saddam has no relation to AQ and he did not looking for "yellow cake" uranium or any other WMD for that matter IIRC.
As for Obama's proposal, callous as it might seem if it can prevent another "Walter Reed" scandalous condition then it's hardly "idiotic" IMO.

I don't know what's on Pelosi's mind when he took impeachment off the table but i do know that after Clinton's impeachment kerfufle it would be wise for the democratic party not to use the same venue lest the whole thing become another political dog and pony show, so to speak.
As for troops medical care, which is more disgusting?
Troops paying for their own care and receive adequate if not first class treatment or troops languished in their own waste due to lack of staffs and doctors?

Who said anything about stopping terrorism?
My point is the GPA can REDUCE terrorism by reducing the amount of people that can be radicalized due to poverty and therefore REDUCE the number of war and it's casualties.
As for poor people in America, the GLOBAL Poverty Act scope is worldwide and therefore American poor can also benefit from it as well.
Such poor argument is why Obama won ALL his debate against right wingers from Keyes to McCain.
