So, wait. I don't quite understand what this is all about. Looks like it's supposed to be some kind of informational program. But the only explanation is from some camera guy I guess? Who has no idea? The rocks were deposited there by retreating glaciers after the last ice age. There's a much larger one (sans ringing stones) about fifty miles north at Hickory Run State Park. It's called Boulder Field.
I wonder if the parks dept. turn away people with jackhammers and mauls...
