your tires are insulators, I've benn struck in a 94 freightliner cabover, it is loud but other the the BANG, there is no damage to the truck. the tires insulate so the bolt just kind of bounces off the road. it's really bright though! leaves you seeing spots for a while.

dude, yes ur tires are insulated but that bolt of lightning can go from a couple of miles down to ur car, whats a a few inches of rubber?, and ur tires dont save u, the cage of ferrada does, and metal cage thransfers elctricity around it and into the ground.
