  • this video is worth watching...

  • nice lecture.. well discussed...

  • learned a lot thanks

  • actually in solid water, the molecules are farther apart than in liquid water, just sayin...

  • want. his. lab. coat.

  • That's a bad ass coat he's got :)

  • How can you be in the second semester of pchem and not know why the volume decreases in a liquid mixture??

  • what a great job knowing more than your students.

  • So poignant!

  • What textbook does prof. talk about ? Is the author Ray Chang?

  • Thank you so much for having the camera on a tripod so it wouldn't jerk around! :)

  • I'm in grade 10 and have never taken chemistry but I still very much enjoy his lectures and seminars.

  • what branch chemistry is this?

  • Organic? Is that the answer you were looking for?

  • @OTEP1234567891011 Maybe it's because I didn't feel like watching the entire video, but it doesn't feel like organic chemistry like I learned it

  • @bigbowser101 periodicity and intermolecular forces

  • dude chloroform is CHCL3

  • @youngthug21 didn't he actualy draw chloromethane

  • Slow loading!!!

    Great lecture!!!

  • Chloroform is not that one!

  • "I could be overly pedantic and say that the RAM of Chlorine is 35.5, so a Cl2 molecule is more 71, than 70...

Also, ice on some meaningless lake crushing all life is one thing, but without H bonding between the DNA bases, life would probably not exist full stop!"

At least..i would have said all that, but i remembered i watched this video because i love chem, and he did a fantastic lecture :) 5*

  • Ha Ha....~27:08 he calls Chloromethane (CH3Cl), chloroform (CH3Cl)....woops!

  • ... CHCl3...

  • A simple mistake to make. (Perhaps he should stick to using systematic names instead ;) i think it'd be less likely to mistake chloromethane for trichloromethane)

  • um...r u saying that mistaking chloromethane (CH3Cl) for trichloromethane (CHCl3) is LESS LIKELY than mistaking chloromethane (CH3Cl) for Chloroform (CHCl3)?? LoL.

But i have to smile at the fact that I made the exact same mistake that I wrote my comment about!!!! Duuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhh, i'm an idiot.

  • lol don't beat yourself up over nothing - a love of chemistry makes you a fine human being indeed :)

  • LOL!!!!! I'm so stupid!

  • It means Supplemental Instruction. ;o

  • you=dumbass :)

  • Is he made mystake formule for kloroform? Becasuse when he said that is going to write klorform it acctualy writes kloromethane.

  • at 2:09 she said this is her last class as an SI, what is SI?

  • more than likely something like a teachers assistant

  • something like a Student Instructor prob.

  • Student Intern? Just guessing...

  • this guy does kinda suck im on lecture 12 im enduring him to get ready for ap chem though

  • he keeps the kids thinking instead of pumping facts -- good lecture

  • Good but camera man needs to wake up.

  • What silly, immature people. These are the types who constantly tell me how 'educated' people support Obama. Most of their 'education' is intellectual beating off. What a waste of time.

  • His style of lecture varies from those you're familiar with so it is "silly, [and] immature"

He was both informative and entertaining.

I'll bet his students' marks are higher than other teacher because he makes the extra effort to connect to his audience

  • I just resent the fact I was conned all my life into believing that "educated" people were so smart. A lot of them are STUPID, including a lot of professors.

  • Oh I agree. If you take some of these people out of their element, they're absolutely vacuous.

  • Huge difference between educated and intelligent. Educated can't exist without school, seems more to me like a social class than an adjective describing how capable one is.

  • just blew my mind

  • @CoffeeStudios fucking brilliant comment sir!

  • awesome psychadelic teacher.

  • nice lesson, but skip the first 15 minutes (about the course sylabus).
