Fucking gay ass sim. Next time, fuckwad, put "FSX" in the god damn title of the video so people that want to watch REAL aircraft don't have to waste their time with your dumb ass videos.
Looks like he was well past V1. V1 is the Maximum speed during takeoff at which a pilot can safely stop the aircraft without leaving the runway. This is also the minimum speed that allows the pilot to safely continue (to V2 takeoff) even if a critical engine failure occurs. If this was a real plane he would have had to continue to take off and hold V2 +20
If this is your video.. Please do more with sound, because you obviously have the ability, and you must have come kick ass computer.. So please :)))))
i was quite impressed with the amount i learned through flight sim 2004. At first i couldnt even understand the basics and i now understand alot through it. Its so cool that it has a real world navigation database
He was beyond V1, so it should have been a takeoff and return.
However:
The A330 engine-out procedures for an RTO do not call for the application of reverse thrust. Upping the N1 ratio on the engine with a fire could cause the engine to explode.
He didnt brake, it was RTO setting of autobreak, the second he goes over then under 80% N1 it will activate. Since he was rotating he was past the speed to commit to the take off he should have took off then came back unless both engines were out.
Actually, full power of 2 engines is required at take-off, however, during level flight, flying with only one engine is possible. If you lose an engine during take-off, you can stall.
In jets they never use max thrust, its too hard on the engines. Depending on Elelevation and tempuratur it could only be 85-95% N1 for TO. If you lose an engine after V1, you HAVE to rotate, a twin -engine can climb just fine on one engine but it won't be nearly as fast. You should get about 400-500 FPM on one engine.
After V1 you have to TAKE-OFF and an aircrfat can climb with one engine out. It's not because one engine goes out that the Aircraft could stall but more like if the angle of attack is to high the aircraft would stall even though it still have the 2 engines running. Airplanes are studied to Takeoff fly and land with one engine running.
Oh and for the record if you pulled that stunt in a real A330 the biggest difference you would notice is the braking, it is really exaggerated in that flightsim. The real A330 would have been well off the end of the runway.
I know this is just flightsim so you can do as you please, but be clear on this: In real life the only time a takeoff would be rejected after V1 is if the aircraft lost all thrust (dual flameout) or a major structural failure of the wing, ie not pilot-intiated. In other words almost never, and certainly never deliberately. No pilot in their right mind would reject a takeoff after rotation.
To the best of my knowledge, as soon as you reach Vr then SOPs state that you must climb and complete your after takeoff checklist before even considering your engine failure (and associated checklists)
Iknow that! Trust me if ur PIC or PF and u know the plkane is not going to become airbore or will not stay up, ur not going toi be dumb enough to still try!
how did you get this view?

Dear All,
I have some questions on psychology:
(1) Why do we enjoy flying "Flight Simulator"?
(2) What does make us to play Flight Simulator over and over again?
(3) What is the fun to flying in a way that can only be accomplish in "Flight Simulator"? (eg. landing A330 on a carrier on the sea)
(4) Why do we like to fly different models of aeroplanes with different external paintings in different airlines? (eg. A330 with Disney painting)
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for answers!!! :)

You was meant to carry on with the take off, you went past V1

Lol, a "non-stop" takeoff. What other takeoffs are there?
Th32ick1 3 years ago
You should of taken off and turned back.
YOU DID NOT USE REVERSE THRUST

above V1, pilot should continue take off whatever happened...
except for both engines flameout... :)

to this video u should have at least audio buddy;)
any way well done :D
sirpilotramram 3 years ago
at that speed (V1 + VR) it could have been even more dangerous to land backdown than to take off.
you just cannot abort after VR speed. if a real pilot done that in real life, it could have cost his job.
good try though :)
jamiebellal 3 years ago
Listen up. You lose an engine on takeoff after rotation, and it's Katie bar the door.
uncleluck 3 years ago
Aborting after vr is a big no no.
EVILTHETURTLE 4 years ago 3
V1 means take off, no matter what.
Naaikogel 4 years ago 2
Dude no matter what at V1 you HAVE to keep going
ABflyersk8r 4 years ago 7
no after v1 you have to keep going. v1 is decision speed, takeoff or don't takeoff
blackbird1080 4 years ago 3
You should have taken off since you obviously had passed V1 and were beginning to rotate.
oustres 4 years ago 2
where did u get the plane plz tell me
Naim356 4 years ago
you were braking with the nose gear in the air. when it touched down it would have collapsed.

Take-off? That is quite difficult if you only have one engine... You have a high chance of crashing...
choidj 4 years ago
Thats what I was told by an A330 pilot so yes, the A330 can do it.
bombnplaneboi 4 years ago
a plane can be flown and safely with one engine. that is one of the checks the faa does to each aircraft engine that comes out.

Birdstrike ?
Or you didnt let the engines sync?
both happened to me :( lol

looks like you hit V1 and Vr and rotated. The correct procedure is to not abort takeoff after V1, but to continue with the takeoff.
Deserteye7 4 years ago
Yeah wrong procedure... you could have hurt some virtual people there :P
And the speed to reject is not 100KIAS its V1 and for every plane, weight, weather condition is different.

I know i should have kept on going, And i was taking off from Columbus Ohio.

what airport were you taking off from?

you are supposed 2, but i can understand, its pretty boring though and he would have just had 2 make an emergency landing at the same airport.

Arrows2100 4 years ago
it is V1 but u can reject after V1 but it is not alwyas the best choice!
75sevenA330 4 years ago
The procedure is that after 100kias you should not abort a takeoff unless of a failure that is definately going to affect the flying.
After V1 you must not RTO
JonRDow 4 years ago
The pilot flying PIC can reject after V1 if he knows the plane will not fly!

But the plane will fly with an engine down!!!

u're on Vr and without a doubt u should continue the climb and follow the After V1 engine failure procedures
