@Waqsjoaquin this is a fucking great record in it's own right. he's using effects as an instrument in it's own right. what you're saying is the eqiuvalent of "why are you colouring that pencil sketch?" different sounds, different shapes, different colours in the music. kele does have a great natural voice, he always has. but vocals are just another sound in the mix. he's experimenting, and by filtering his voice and making it higher it gives a quality i can't explain, like you relate with it.
You guys don't understand, the reason while Bloc Party is so good is because they try new stuff. Don't complain when Bloc Party come back with some boring old generic indie stuff. I'm glad Kele is experimenting.
