awsome tutorial, ive had the nano for a lil while and ive never spilled anything on it but the buttons are starting to stick on it have u had this problem yet at all?
Getting a NanoPad in a week or 2.. Does it operate fluently with Garageband and logic?? Also do I need any VSTs or plug ins to run it with garageband? Does it come with factory settings or are all the sounds fed into it from the software?? Thanks!!
Ok like mize is cuming in the mail frm muisc friend so I'm a lazy guy is so can I load hole hooks on the pad cuz wen I lay down the hook I just would load the hook on the right spots on the beat so will it hold hole hooks 4 a song?
i got a question because i want to buy this but would you say im better with this or the m audio trigger finger and another thing because i want to just be able to load a track on sl3 without having to drag the track on the laptop i got a denon x-120 mixer buh can i like load the tracks also with this thing?
@qnsprettiboi , you dont even need this to load tracks on serato without dragging the tracks, all you need to do is learn your shortcut keys, Ctrl+left to load tracks to your left deck and Ctrl+right to your right deck, id use this strictly for my cue-points, thats just me, good luck..
@djyannaki : I have been pondering this myself, I think I am going to go with LPD8 simply because of the knobs. I would trade the XY touch pad and some buttons for 8 knobs, better functionality imo.
Wats up man cool vid just one question were can I find that sample you played the fist time I hear it every were i've been trying to find it every were help me out :)
The best part is the width of the nanopad... If you have the laptop next to the turntables rather than above the mixer, the nanopad length becomes especially handy. The nanopad will nicely span the distance between two technics 1200s in battle orientation above the back of the mixer, maybe secure it with those velcro slickers to stop it shifting too much :-P.
Very true, my turnies are in roadcases so it's not really an issue for me. I wander whether one can get right angle connectors for it like with RCA and headphone jacks to make this a little less annoying.... Alternatively wait until the warranty runs out, crack the fuker open and and run the cable out top rather than the side.
well it seems 15 seconds on google have yielded the answer. Check out usbfirewire (dot) com. they have a huge range of custom usb cables which will suit nicely.
Just curious...I had issues with my laptops usb bandwidth when I tried using an additional usb controlled unit while my serato was plugged in....did you have any issues?
I had none at all, but Ive read that some computers do... if you have an express cardslot you might want to look into an 800 firewire card and harddrive (If thats where you store your music) check out my other video on the 500gb harddrive.
@djjoshuacarl Nice video bro, I might just grab it, seems like fun, but there's a lot of preparation needed in order to really use it in a flash/smooth way :)
And thank goodness for the reggae horn being a pre-loaded sample, it's probably the first thing I'll remove :P
listen man, i just got the nano pad and this tutorial was awesome. you really helped me figure this out. Thanks for taking the time out to educate people on this! big props!
they havent released any information since their inital announcement.... but the "livefeed" option in 1.9 is kinda a hint of things to come with ableton merger
It comes standard on the Dell Xps and I believe even the dell studio as well (but the studio isnt as ballsy as the xps', so I wouldnt get it if ur gonna try video)
looks like a great piece of hardware and cheap. this iis especially good if you can't afford to get the rane 57 mixer, or you're playing in clubs that don't have one. nice.
im havin trouble gettin it to work with serato. Im on 1.8.3 and installed the korg kontrol editor but cant figure out how to assign the loops/samples. help!
I bought the tables from a friend who already had the covers... they are your run of the mill 1200 covers...Im going to get them painted soon though...not so "smurfy" this time ;)

ABFUG 2 years ago
click midi
CTrl + ALT + loop roll amount (under the deck)
1/32 ,1/4, 1 ect ect
once its highlighted, click the midi pad.
konnix has a fool-prrof vid if u cant figure it out.
I talk about it in this video in detail. watch it again

theterrible1 2 years ago
whould it work with virtual dj?
boost808 2 years ago 2
yes, it does... it just needs to be manually mapped through their midi function.
mapping in serato is 100% easier and an be done on the fly.
djjoshuacarl 2 years ago
don't you risk accidentally engaging for "F" keys under that thing?
