New Yorkers say they don't like the Freedom Tower but give them a year or two and they will like it. Besides, don't you think it would be a little disturbing to see the original WTC again, kinda like someone returning from the dead.
The "freedom tower" is not 1776 feet tall. It has a 400+ tall antenna, and a 200 foot tall base. It's 60% empty, and offers 200k office space to the 10 million the Twins offered. Whats better? A glass building, or 2 wonderful buildings everyone loved that provided jobs?

the golden orb that was in the courtyard of the WTC is called "The Sphere". it was place in the courtyard of the WTC when they finished building the center in 1973.
Its a memorial statue to the peaple who died on 9/11. When the wtc where bombed in 1993 they put a golden orb like that to honor the peaple who died there.
ahh.. do you know what happened to that globe? i remember it being severely damaged when the buildings fell but that it was saved and is somewhere now.. but where is it?
that is no where ear as good looking as the globe statue. what exactly is that thing supposed to be anyways? remeinds me of blood and guts.. kinda looks like someone stepped on a land mine and this is the exploding mass of thier flesh and blood caught at the exact moment.. pretty morbid, but if it reminds me of that then im sure it does to other people as well

I do like the new WTC 7, but the new wtc 1 has to be built without the solid concrete bunker lobby.
