DD didn't die. He just tried to neutralize the energy Kiha sent out . Finally he sent back the power he got from heaven.They lived happily ever after with the son.

Damduk still loves Kiha! She is his lover the woman that he could never forget even in death that's what he said to Sujini. He may love Sujini but not as deep as he felt for KIha. Sujini was there for him when he thought KIha betrayed him but in the end he understand that what happened isnt Kiha's fault. His father and the gods intervened and separated them so that he could be king! He asked for forgiveness from Kiha and chose not to kill her. He released her from becoming the black phoenix!

Ochitduzon, your analysis is slightly flawed. Kiha is his first love and childhood friend. Many people do not forget their first love or good childhood friendships. But Sujini is his TRUE love.  Sujini is next to him ALL the time. She is with him during battle. She makes him laugh. She beleives in him when no one else does. Her love for him is unconditional. He was willing to give up those forts to get her back from the Gwannii overload. He wants her to stay by him so he can protect her.

When she leaves, he has people searching all over for her and he never stops looking. He also carries around her armour made by BaSon because he knows in his heart he will find her again. When he finds her and she tells him to go back to his palace, he says "whereever you are is where my palace is". He then tells her that he's going with her and that he's never going to let her go ever again. His love for Sujini is much much deeper than it is for Kiha.

Kiha and he are suppose to meet but assassins follow Kiha. They attack him and Sujini. When he sees Sujini hurt, he goes to save Sujini and leaves Kiha behind. It's Sujini who defends him in the court when they accuse him of killing his father. He gives her his deceased mother's favorite bottle. She is also the only woman he listens to (values her advice) as the King. He always keeps her close to him. Their conversation is loose not like a king and a subject but best friends type of talk.

All you said is true. but you cannot deny that DD did all this things for Suijini only because he thought KIha betrayed him. If he only believe her then Kiha and DD would never separate and would still be together in the end with their child. Sujini was not betrayed by DD so the situation is different and unfair to Kiha. Also if DD learned about the baby and the truth sooner he would surely be by Kiha's asap that's why he felt great remorse upon learning the bitter truth in the end

In the end it is very clear that Kiha is the one he chose. EVEN WHEN SUJINI IS IMPLORING HIM TO KILL KIHA BECAUSE THERE IS STILL TIME HE DIDNT DO IT. Instead he broke the bow and entered the portal to perish with Kiha. If Sujini is the one he chose he could just kill Kiha with the bow and stayed with Sujini. The sorcerer is gone and even Hae Ge so there's really no need for DD to die with her. The portal will be closed and there will be no destruction anymore.

Hmmmm... he does not chose Kiha in the end. What he choses is not to have world destroyed by Kiha and he chooses to end things the way HE wants to end it? He told Sujini that when the time comes he will decide himself how things will end. He apologize to Kiha to stop her from destroying the world. You do not see DD and Kiha go off together. I agree that he destroyed the bow so the portal would close but I don't think he was choosing Kiha over Sujini. He was in love w/Sujini until the end.

When DD states to Sujini "wherever you are is where my palace is" it showed he loved her above all Kiha. I think no matter what happened with Kiha and DD, DD and Sujini were always meant to be together because it was their fate from their previous life. Even if they came back in another life, DD and Sujini would some how find each other and Kiha would always be there in their lives causing a problem. The love triangle would play out again but in a different way. I feel sorry for Kiha.

It is very clear in the end that DD apologized to Kiha for not believing in her not because he wants to stop her from destroying the world. DD never said not even once that he loves Sujini. He told her that he thinks of her as his sister. From the beg to the end no matter how much Sujini does or anyone for that matter when faced with KIha Damduk is always weak. They are all afraid that DD would choose the woman over the nation. In the end that's what he did.
