haha, i had the same problem, in the end i threw my pole on the dump, i got so mad, now i want to buy an x pole, but i am not sure what diameter the Peekaboo pole is, please can you answer? 40mm, 45mm, 50mm, i dont remember.
Why the fawk would you record yourself doin this horribe crap and then post in on the net?!? And it's not the pole for God sakes.. loose some weight and the pole wont break!
@IceTTom your retarded as hell!! This girl does not need to lose weight she needs a better pole!! And this is not horrible crap! Its fun and great exercise!!! you piece of crap!
im glad u got an xpole, i was happy to go down to the studio for extra practice until i could afford one at home (i still go to the studio anyway cos theres more room!) i'd never comprimise safety when it comes to poledancing, im glad u realised before u got hurt!
I also purchased an electra pole and i experienced the exact same thing i was looking for a beginner pole and this was not worth the 2 holes in my ceiling i now own a XPOLE its worth the money!!!!
u gotta read the instructions on these kinds of poles some of them say u cant put ur weight on it ... wuts the point ... i got the extreme pole from platinum stages .. i have yet to put it up but they use it at my dance school nd i luvv it
I just got this pole and it is doing the same thing! My bf and i took it down and put it back up at least four times and couldn't ever corrct it. I have no problem if I spin around it clock-wise, but everytime I spin counter-clockwise it unscrews itself! Have you found a solution, or is it just a defect in these poles?
Wow, you got great moves but I see what you mean about your pole! I'm just a beginner and I have an X stage. I strongly recommend it or any other X pole.
yea i have the carmen too but im selling it and geting the x-pole...carmen pole worked fine at first but now it keeps falling down on me... i cant wait to get my x-pole
Ive got this pole too, u have to screw it back up after every move u do! it fell down with me on it the other day and has let my friends down on a few occasions too! i think the more u pay the better the pole cos mine is defo not the bargain i had hoped it was x
I have this pole too, and I too agree with you ... it's really crappy. But what I've realized with this is, you have to always swing or move in the direction that you would move in while tightening it. Going the opposite direction would result into obviously unscrewing the pole =P
Kinda like what was happening in this video, but kudo's to you for getting an xpole. The electra-pole is pretty ridiculous, but great for beginners such as myself =)
hehe a logical solution but I find different moves easier depending on which way I'm going so I'm not sure it would be a preference for me. Probably a good challenge though :D
hahahah yeh that happened to me with the spinning, and it was screwed in and because i went in the opposite direction, it unscrewed itself and was soon a "spinning pole" i thought it was fun for the next hour till i was spinning on it then i went flying to the groud, and woke up to find my pole in 3 pieces. so. dodgy.
i dont think ANYONE, even beginners should waste the money on a Peekaboo pole, if your gonna buy a pole jsut get teh X-Pole, there is a reason the pros use it, b/c it works, its worth the extra money now...b/c your going to evetually want to do harder tricks than a fireman, and you need to be able to do tricks in more than one direction haha. Fork out the extra dough now, save urself some moola later! Love to all my pole cats!!
Well I would say that it's not "too" bad, don't get me wrong ... it sucks. But I can still hold my body weight on it, and flip up side down, and to be quite honest when it was on hard wood floor instead of carpet I actually took a running jump far away running at a pretty fast speed and it stayed up. However, now .. that probably wouldn't be possible this pole does ware out quickly. But I think as long as your practicing inverts, and you can settle with moving in one direction, it's alright.
@Mercedes1542 i didnt read all the other comments. but you MUST screw it to the ceiling.. ive had mine fall on me 2 times... for it to be safe it must be screwed to ceiling... theres no way around it.. if u fall you could break your neck.. please get someone to put it up better. i cant tighten it myself & feel compfortable when my husband does it. but its being screwed to wall before i use it again !!!! be safe. :)
hey girl~ I happen to have bought this pole. I thought I would save $ as well. gee. I am still waiting for it to arrive. Should have gotten the xpole or lil mynx instead huh. Any advice before i get into an accident?
Screw it into the ceiling mine fell down on me. Also check out bettym33147s advice below about lengthening the pole. And when you can afford to, get an xpole. I learnt quite a bit on this so it isn't impossible just be careful. Oh, I kept cutting myself on the black bit on the bottom, to avoid this you might want to try wearing some socks with grip or leg warmers but make sure you keep your thighs uncovered so leggings aren't really practical. Hope that helps and happy poling! :D
have this pole too, after a few accidents of it falling over, unscrewing etc,i made sure the top bit was at the proper ceiling height(in my casr 2.4 metres)and unscrewed the bottom to the same,i was on it for an hour and a half today, and i climbed the pole and hung off with my legs crossed, and i weigh 12 and a half stone lol,but it was secure with the other moves i did too,the bottom of it does look a bit too long !! i would try and unscrew it more at the top, rather than the bottom =)
This was the only time I had the pole set up like this, usually I would have had the black bit a lot less exposed but it kept unwinding and getting on my nerves. Now I have an x pole though so I'm not using this things anymore.
also i was noticing in your video that the black piece is too exposed try to lengthen the pole from the top piece that you can make longer... get it as high as you can ... then tighten from the botton ... t will help with the cuts and make it more stable
wow, that pole does look rubbish!! I would highly recommend an xpole. I have one myself and have not had a single problem with it. It is really sturdy (your's seems to look like it wobbles a lot!!!) and it doesn't make creaky noises when ya spin on it! Good luck hun, your beginner moves a looking great :)
omg i had this pole for one month not even i got it for xmas and the black piece broke and cracked and my legs are all cut up too im glad it broke cause now im forced to get a good one ...good luck and be carefull
Wow, mine didn't crack.. I was going to continue using it until I could get a new one but I don't think I will now. What are you thinking of getting? I'm undecided!
im really glad i watched your video because i was goin 2mrw to buy that pole..i already own the peekaboo which sucks also...so thanks for posting about the piece of shyt..now wont waste my money
you're welcome, also I forgot to mention that I keep cutting my leg on that black bit on the bottom, the corners are very sharp which is why I don't go all the way to the floor with my moves at the moment.
i don't like this pole i own it and it sux try mipole its way better
