this lawrence cole is an ass hole as can be seen here. anyone should wonder why he became a referee. he miscalled moments in that 1st Barrera-Pacquiao fight exhibiting favor for Barrera. And now allowed Margarito to go on till the last round although battered so badly and endangered Margarito's life hoping to get a lucky punch to defeat Pacquiao.

this was precautionary advice to make sure marquez did not insist to keep going in case of the doctor stopping it. I have heard of cases where refs tell the boxer they're ahead, just prevent them from going out there and possibly cause more damage.

While I agree Lawrence Cole shouldn't have said that to Juan, he is still a very good referee in a sport where that's very hard to find. Tony Weeks by far is my favorite ref. He's not on a power trip about being a ref and treats both fighters fairly and shows respct while doing so.
