  • i saw a picture of ps1 and it got my interest because i saw some icons i know from the newer ps versions but seeing this i am actually amazed what was already possible back then.

    cool video.

  • Still better than MSPaint on Windows 7

  • I love how it gets slower the more "marching ants" you have on the screen... LOL.

  • Wow! Ha-ha... as Microsoft Paint!

    :D

  • I just downloaded this for my Macintosh LC II, which has a 16-bit color display. It turns out that Photoshop 1.0.7 fully supports 16-bit color, so I'll have to make a video of it here soon.

  • 8mhz?? not even my tea boiler runs this slow!!!

  • how do you record on a 30 years old mac with 8mhz ??

  • wow... amazing... this is the oldest photoshop. it's parts of graphic design history. I can imagine how difficult to learn photoshop at first time, moreover the 1st one. T O P BGT...

  • GENESIS!!! 01:01:01 Bendito seas O.o

  • haha IT sais RGB COLOR HAHAHAH and there is only black & white in the program :D

  • Lol... it's still better than Microsoft Paint xD

  • @zcheeseolly They are two totally different programs with different goals.

  • @karrrdo I don't really care, to be honest.

  • Look at that awesome Windows computer running that software that was so advanced from the time. Oh wait... it's a Mac. My mistake.

  • looool

  • know your roots

  • god damn! it`s like seeing a living dinosaur! it had everything, even filters. Just amusing

  • Where can I download this? I want that old version. I'm getting bored of CS5 :)

  • @PaulTheGrand lollolol

  • speedy menus right there

  • hah who needs photoshop cs5 when you have this. the world was so much easier in black and white.

  • what? black n white?

  • jajaja 1:10 :P 

  • COOL

  • wel this is the first "photoshop" but the released a program called light works back in 1987

  • brillant!

  • I didn't expect it to be that powerful. You were really able to do a lot of of stuff with PS back then.

  • It don't matter which software are people using. If they are talented designers or photographers. Photoshop 1.0 wont cause an obstacles even if it only has 2% of the settings that the modern CS4 has.

    Cheers!

  • Happy Birthday Adobe(eeee) Photoshop! :D

  • :D POWER!

  • happy birthday photoshop

  • it is cool!...but were is the 3D? :)

  • wow, amaizing! this still can do some basic editing

  • are those original files saved as .psd? if so, would you be able to open them in like CS4 for example?

  • and viceversa.

  • It's .pct, as can be seen in the window title.

  • @nabsandshark I asked if that could be saved as a .psd, I wasn't talking about its current file format, but thanks anyway.

  • but how do you can put this on your PC or Mac

  • Comment removed

  • No , i dont mean the Software , i mean the Saved Data of the Picture

  • Oh, I dunno, sorry.

  • @edybero I don't think u can run this on a modern computer, this demo was made on a classic mac (see description).

  • no i doesnt mean the software , i mean the .psd file

  • was then and still today the best Photo editor, however, PSP Coral is trying to meet the challenge to be a good competitor.

  • wow :) the beginnings ;)
