I have now calculated the relative distance (again m5board&autocars data) in a (theorical) 2nd gear 50kph roll (2nd gear Agera vs 1st gear Veyron SS). Here are some of the numbers: After 5s, Veyron is 9.8m ahead (distance bugatti=182.6m); 10.7s= neck&neck (d= 546m); 15.3s egg is 28.4m in front (d. bug=901.2m); 18s egg is 51.5m ahead (d. bug=1125m) For the speed (kph): 5s= 191 bug vs 185 egg; 10.7s= 261 bug vs 278 egg; 15.3s=293 bug vs 320 egg; 18s= 306 bug vs 340 (est.) egg. *time starts from 50
Yes It would be nice to show how you arrived at this figures using a video or something. Do you have an app, a custom design software like mine or somethhing else coz I swear it is impossible to derive such data functions and integrate them manually.
The only thing you forgot is that the Agera would start in 2nd from 50 km/h and 3rd from 80-100 km/h. There's no doubt in my mind it would still be close unless the race is very long (1++ km). Using m5board's and autocar's numbers (and an estimation for 327-360km/h in the Agera), I found out the Agera R would need 1210m to catch up with the Veyron SS from a dead stop, however if they could improve the launch (0-30 in 1s) and reduce shifting time by half, it would take 591m.
If the veyron SS used topspeed mode the Agera R wont catch it at all, or not least after the mile.
Ok, even if you dispute the 22.2-16.9s 0-200mph difference, even if the SS gains two or three seconds it makes a big difference when it comes to relative distances.
@ASSHOLELA The Agera R has a wing that can easily be taken off and its drag coefficient 0.07-0.03 depending on the speed (but who knows how much at what speed) is very similar to Top speed vs Handling mode drag in the Veyron. If the Veyron can shave X%s in TS mode so can the Agera. I'll show you how I obtained those results without an app or a custom design software, it's not very complicated but a bit time consuming, I didn't do this in one day. Get ready for a very long PM though.
You may be right, but it is also equally likely Koenigsegg removed the wing when doing 0-200-0 Because they want to optimise the best time possible, the 0-200mph savings by the better aerodynamics should offset the reduced grip when braking. But I'll just leave it hanging until some evidence of a better 0-200 comes out.
The veyron SS did 251-373kmh in just 14s on ehra lessein with TS mode. /watch?v=i9kB3d1mGbk,251-400kmh in 23s.
Furthermore, the offset in speed by the veyron using topspeed mode is greater than removing the wing on the agera.Because removing only decreases the cd by 0.4, in TS mode the bugatti's cd goes from 0.42 to 0.36, 0.6, with a slight reduction in frontal profile area. The agera is already more aerodynamic than the SS, and given accel = force - drag, the same reduction in drag on the SS will give a higher % increase in accel than the agera.
@ASSHOLELA During the fly by at the end you can see the Agera R still has the wing. According to Koenigsegg the Agera has a cd of 0.30 without the wing and 0.37 to 0.33 with it (it changes its angle of attack with wind pressure) but we don't know how much drag at what pressure. No matter which can cover the most ground per second in the same conditions, I hope we'll see a race at some point. Problem is there are no Veyron's in Sweden and GTboard can't afford to rent one even for a day
@ASSHOLELA Koenigsegg kept the wing for the 0-200-0 testing (the egg is known to be unstable at 190+) its so fast becuase it weighs literally half a ton less then the SS, The only reason the Veyron pulls is due to AWD and the egg would still catch it in standing mile, from a roll this thing would blow the doors off of the SS
