I remember one great effect. German solider gets ripped apart by an explosion. And quite funny that it has the same producer as das boot considering the difference between them. I don't really care about the effects this much. Just look at the solider in this video, who get shot by one of his own. This anti-expression...

In my opinion due to the poor acting and bad tries to show the horror of war the film is among one of the worst of the genre. Disagree if you want, just please don't use sentences like "What do you expect", "What do you want" and give me valid arguments.

@PhantomArcade The mp40 (Maschinenpistole 40) was one of the most common sub-machine-guns in the german wehrmacht in and before WW2 - Its success in close combat but the missing ability of hitting targets at a longer distance like a rifle would do at the cost of a slow rate of fire lead to developing the stg-44 (sturmgewehr 44) which combined both weapons advantages. The PPSH-41 was definitively russian made. (Trust me, i am from germany xD..)
