Pretty good flying.....when you come into land keep a constant speed of about 130-145 knots, be in the glide slope, hold it steady and you should hit the carrier just right. Nice vid

@applesweeter I don't think you can do it from airport selection. The way I did it was just spawn the carrier and land on it, then start recording. But you could just slew onto it.

@0ondra0 Catapult doesn't use rope, the arresting cables for landing you can't really see properly either tbh.

You need to install this pack and have the correct FSX expansions/updates. I've only tested this on Acceleration so I guess you need at least Service Pack 2. If you have both of those then look in the commands menu for catapult launch etc. (Options > Controls)

You should always try to land while using virtual cockpit mode... i know its hard but you'll get used to it and when you do you'll feel like you have accomplished something

@yas123ism I think 1.5 is an old version. Search on Google "Java JDK" and go to the sun download site, updates are on there. That should fix it if not I can't help sorry.

just some advice to make your landings 10 times easier, on your HUD, there is a little circle with three short lines sticking out of it. That indicates exactly where you plane is going to go, so what you want to do is place the indicator on the arresting cables of the carrier, and it should guide you right down as long as you keep it on the wires.

Hi. I have FSX Gold Edition, Gold Edition is both the deluxe pack and the acceleration pack. I just wanted to tell you about even though you took a few times, I would of done it in one, but i would of crashed, so well done, it's hard to land on the carrier and being able to land on it at all is good, even real pilots aren't perfect. I've watched quite a few carrier landing videos and 90% had to go around at least one time. so well done :)

Well not for me. It depends on speed and rate of descent. How fast do you come in on approach? It should be around 150-130Kts. That's how fast I go, and when I catch the wire, I go full afterburner and I don't flop around it actually helps me stay stable.

@747pan Umm not sure. I doubt it will matter as it'll set your registry keys anyway. Just install it into the default directory it's usually the FSX one anyway.

Carrier is downloaded from the pack (look in video desc). Not too sure whether it's a rip from the default carrier or whether it's actually somebody elses work.

You flared on the land, you don't do that with this you just fly so your about 1meter above the deck and when you get to the cables put the nose down.
