You've probably figured this out by the time you posted this video, but in case you haven't: You can buy silver ore from the dwarf that can craft the silver sword. You met him 1 or 2 parts ago, instead of selecting the craft option, ask to browse his wares. I believe he has timber also. Or just run around town and look for a stack of wood, there is timber all over the town, for example, theres a stack of wood next to the merchant you talked to in part 19 (he gives you the reward for the kraken).
