@Qnickel27 In all likelihood, the V6 is chosen because and I-4 did not do what they wanted nor could withstand what they are doing. I'm sure Rhys-Millen will tell you a horror story or two were they did use a Hyundai Four and it melted down or blew up.

There is also the possibility that Hyundai intends to use some version of their engine(s) to base a new engine and Hyundai insisted that they use V6s.
