I am a psychologist. Firstly, it is rare to find a psychologist who prescribes drugs-only a few states even allow it. Second, "Psychology Today" is not research-based. it is not respected in the field. Finally, there are many studies showing that psychology and psychiatry ARE helpful to people who WANT and CHOOSE to get help. I am not in the business of forcing therapy on people. Attacks on "this field," "these people", etc. really call Alex's journalistic integrity into question.
I like listening to Alex it is entertaining and informative. It's good to have a different perspective whether I agree or not. He often brings up subjects not addressed in the mass media. We are lucky to have someone who is so passionate and independent in there research and journalistic endeavors.

I have observed that most psychologists start in psychology because they are trying to understand their own trauma, phobias, mental illness, etc. psychologists are not qualified as psychiatrists who are medical doctors, there are as many psychologists in a square mile as attorneys, in LA that is 300 per square mile.

I am a psychologist. Firstly, it is rare to find a psychologist who prescribes drugs-only a few states even allow it. Second, "Psychology Today" is not research-based. it is not respected in the field. Finally, there are many studies showing that psychology and psychiatry ARE helpful to people who WANT and CHOOSE to get help. I am not in the business of forcing therapy on people. Attacks on "this field," "these people", etc. really call Alex's journalistic integrity into question.

I have observed that most psychologists start in psychology because they are trying to understand their own trauma, phobias, mental illness, etc. psychologists are not qualified as psychiatrists who are medical doctors, there are as many psychologists in a square mile as attorneys, in LA that is 300 per square mile.

Nogard, psychology is NOT a science. It is a "social science" meaning that everything is made up by people with axiomatic proof. It is all conjecture (which by definition means guess) and has no valid reasoning behind anything. Psychological theories have never lasted more than a few decades (vs math that has existed since 300 bc and earlier) and psychiatry is even worse than psychology. Psychiatrists do not even have a CLUE what causes ANY "mental disorder"! Now u know why we love Alex Jones

i would have debated that viewpoint before but now I'd say I agree. Then again, no one can deny psychological tricks do work. so it does have a liability to some degree. maybe even mor ethan we'd like.

Hmm, from a certain perspective, you are correct actually. Because true, it DOES WORK, but not in the way they claim. True, their drugs affect the brain and body, but not beneficially. IF they did, explain why more people than ever are "depressed" after the introduction of thousands of anti-depressant drugs? Haha... they are either complete crooks or complete idiots.

if your computer has a problem, 90 percent of the time its a software issue. putting in more ram or switching power supplies will NOT clear up software conflicts or viruses now will it?
well the pills they forcefeed you adress hardware issues like body chemistry and cannot resolve the software issues in our minds.
the whole idea of pills to feel better is fucking stupid even before you read the side effects and see MORE depression and halucinations on there.

I used to think psychology was Bullshit, but that was before I started reading books on social psychology. Listen Nogard, I have probably read more books in the past 2 years than you have read in your entire life. Three of them were psychology books. One by Freud, and two by Oxford University professors (oh by the way I have studied there). So don't tell me I have been spoon fed by Alex Jones. I look up EVERY SINGLE thing he claims to be true. And the only debatable ones he has EVER claimed as truth are 9/11 conspiracy claims. And those aren't even false, just debatable. Psychology seeks, but fails.

I mean some his guests have tromendous credentials and it's not like their views are a different interpretation of the main stream, they are directly opposite. ok lets take an example, HR1207 bill to audit the fed, there is a number of guest on his show including respected Ron Paul who say the Fed should be audited at the least and dismantled at best. then there is Obama giving more powers to the fed and him and people around him saying that it must be kept secret for whatever argument they put forward. These are two opposing views, they cannot both hold true. Whats your position on that?

there are numerous factors that contribute to stress and evt. depression. food is also one factor. do you know what your FDA and WHO allow to be processed along with refined/canned food and even fresh vegetables? it's idiotic yet its no conspiracy. anti-depressants don't nesc. need to work. if pharmaceuticals launched miracle drugs that cured depression instantly they'd be out of business wont they. so you could conclude keeping people crazy one way or antoher is beneficial to their profits.
