we are learning this, can't wait to hear ourselves sing this. we've been using a slightly different setting but now I see why the choir master was doing it the way is.
The set up is proper. When displayed from a staff in a church or public auditorium, the U.S. flag should hold the position of superior prominence, in advance of the audience, and in the position of honor at the clergy's or speaker's right (in this case, the Choir's Right) facing the audience. Any other flag so displayed should be placed on the left of the speaker or to the right of the audience....Therfor, Country, Papal, State, City (if applicable) etc.
I was not talking about the protocol, that`s not the point.Neither was my intension to get personal,I`m sorry if I did. What I meant is that the fixation of most(so does it seem)Americans on their flag, just as any other patriotic behave of that kind, leads to an image of narcism to the rest of the world.I think governments use patriotism as a tool to get to their goal:power, you are being abused by your own nation.Because clearly you`re not being thought to be self-critical,I am telling you now.
America, for your information, is NOT the center of the world. Get over you patriotsm, the world would be a better place if americans would'nt be such narcists.
@aijiki It's just a part of our heritage. Different countries have different symbols of patriotism. While America is far superior to many countries in many respects, no, it is not the "center of the world". That said, when a ceremony is held in America, the American Flag gets priority, as would the flag of whichever country was hosting an event.
@PJMurray730 However, then it becomes a matter pf perspective. If you are facing forward, then, indeed, there is nothing to the right. However, if facing the rear, as most people would be to view the flag, there are two flags on the right. Hence, your compliance is, perhaps, not so complete from the most common standpoint.
@speaks3703 Not, actually, since one always refers to "the flag's" right or left. Therefore, there's only one perspective, and this particular arrangement is the correct one.
Who is the gentlman seen reading at the start of the video? My wife says it is the Daily Llama, but I no for a fact he is not aloud to marry. I think it is Chinese premiere Dr. Hu, then again I do not think he would be going to Mass as he is hed of the Chinese Communist Party.
Was the soloist sight reading? The female standing behind her was trying her best to keep a straight face...
