Well, that's your opinion, however while their attacks might seem weak, they're a very consistent and hard-to-stop OTK when played right, which isn't hard to do. So to call it a lousy Deck in spite of its overall ability is simply incorrect.

Actually the Ancient gear deck i have isnt all that bad.. In place of many of the normal magic cards, i put in equip spell cards like axe of despair, Ancient gear tank etc etc, so i can get that attack boost.. And i have my traps based around attack prevention. Because ancient gears are already immune to spells and traps, at least when they attack. its a good format to run and i recommend it to you noodles00p. =) Although i like my main deck more (direct effect volcanic deck)

Even if you can't fit in Chimeratech, I'd put in Cyber Dragon anyway... He's good in a lot of decks. Gadjiltron Dragon is also really powerful in combination with Geartown.

Anyway, this is a pretty good deck. 5/5 for the video.

lol, well again this was just my original, VERY rough draft of the Deck.. It had a lot more Wins than Losses generally but as time has gone by and more sets have come out now (including Absolute Powerforce and the machina Structure Deck when they arrive) I'm finding newer and better stuff to revamp this with, and will try to upload the new version ASAP :D

You can't use Earth hex to bring out the Ultimate Gear Golem.

Actually, yes you can. You can't with Earth Hex's Field Contact-Fusion effect, but you can use its Fusion-Substitute effect to bring it out through normal means. Ultimate AGG cannot be Special Summoned except by FUSION SUMMON, which means you can use Power Bond, a Golem, a random Gear and Earth-Hex to perform a Fusion Summon.

Except Monster Reincarnation hasbeen out for quite a long time.. And it's nothing like Monster Reborn in that you discard 1 in order to return the target Monster to your Hand.. Better to save that for a Deck like Lightsworns..

Power Bond comes Rare in DP04 (Duelist Pack Zane Truesdale), Geartown comes Common in LODT (Light of Destruction). The best way to get them would probably be to shop around, the Rare Power Bonds shouldn't cost more than $1-2, and the Geartowns should be $1 at the very most depending on where you shop.

i noticed you posted this about a year ago, but i can help you if you are cool with it. try an united we stand card, chimeratech overdragon, ancient gear gadjiltron dragon (2 or 3) , heavy storm, maybe a jinzo or two, spirit reaper, marshmallon, arcana force 0 - the fool, krebons can also help in threes, maybe another cyber phoenix but i wouldnt recomend it, brain control, bait doll, and snipe hunter, breaker the magical warrior and upstart goblin. also try to add some synchros , keep it at 40:)

try gaia power(field), ultimate offering(Trap), giant rat(Mons) 3 color gears, and milus randiant(Mons), cause u have AG gears soilder so u want to power them up plus machine deck is most likely all earth anyway, try to add most as possible ultimate offering in there cause that and 3 color gears can be a combo to summon AG dragon with its effect. Rat are for special summoning engineer cause they have nice effect but weak and need 1 sacrifice. milus radiant is a soso. ANCIENT GEAR IS THE BEST ^^

hey I know this vid is old but I recently got the idea to make a geartown deck and I was watching your vid. That deck you got there is pretty sweet tho I bet it is a bit slow in summoning monsters. My only concern is does earth-hex work for ultimate ancient gear golem because he cannot be special summoned meaning earth-hex cant get him out... I may be wrong tho...

They can work, just not through the Field-Fusion effect. You can still use Earth-Hex to sub for either Golem or one of the 2 others needed for Fusion Summon through Power Bond or whatnot.

Hmm.. If your really running a "Ancient Gear" Deck, you will need, Magnet Circle LV. 2, Ancient Gear x2, Statue of the Wicked x2, and Ancient gear Factory.. >>; Plus Spell Gear.

My recent combo: Magnet Circle Lv. 2, Sp. Sum. Ancient Gear, Sp. Sum. Ancient Gear, N. Summon, Ancient Gear Soldier, Spell Gear, Sp. Sum. Ancient Gear Golem x2.

Well, I'm now on v4.0 of this Deck, having taken out 1 Gear Soldier and 1 Earth Hex to add in 2 Ancient Gear Gadjlitron Dragons (totally searchable by Geartown). Also, I overhauled the S/T lineup, so now my Deck is a working model of absolute terror :) I'll upload the finished product sometime later.

I've recently updated the Deck, I still don't have any Magical Hats just yet, but that'll change this weekend.. Also, I got my very first Mirror Force ^-^ I've toned-down the Trap Count to use just Mirror Force, two Destruction Jammer (insurance), and two Royal Decrees. I took out the Cyber Phoenix for Giant Rats, and I redid the Spells to focus more on protection. I'll show off the finished product later.

This Deck is going to be on Offense roughly 99.99% of the time, and there's plenty of Defensive things in the Deck to where I don't need Cyber Valley. It's a good card nonetheless, it just doesn't serve well in this particular Deck build.

I have some fixes-you shouldn't focus on the fusion, and more focus on other stuff. Two Power Bond can indeed be risky, without a way to protect your monster. i suggest -2 Waboku, -1 Power Bond, +1 Shrink, +2 My Body as a Shield.

Oh! noodles00p (srry for writing so much haha) uhm... maybe u can replace the trap cards with malevolent catastrophe (for ancient gear town maybe) or decrease the amount of them to add royal decrees... and another thing... maybe u shouldn´t focus on defending your monsters by opponent´s attacks (only) beacuse what stargod4 said might ruin ur whole thing in there if the situation occurs(I mean... if effects are used more than attacks) so...

well I don´t know... what do you think?

This is true, Effect kills seem to be my Deck's biggest enemy right now, as a ton of my Monsters either require an attack (Cyber Phoenix), or can easily steamroll over an opponent's offense. I think what stargod4 was referring to might've been either Karma Cut or Eliminating the League, both of which are nasty.. Yeah, I think Royal Decrees might work better in the long run, thanks to all for your comments/suggestions. Video #2 is well on its way (Morphtronic alert!)

I wouldn´t suggest to add ancient gear workshop, remember the deck has Cyber Dragon and a good quantity of other non-Ancient Gear monsters so it may bother if he doesn´t need it in a duel (if a dead draw occurs... even if he adds 1 or 2 or 3 copies) and Jinzo uhm... well its hard to decide... but... who agrees with this?

i agree about the workshop, but as for jinzo, i suggested it because the gears (except for engineer) can still be destroyed by other traps, like bottomless trap hole.

btw, might i suggest ancient gear workshop? its good because most of the good gears cant be special summoned; and with geartown, you only need one summon for gear golem, and NONE for engineer, which is great for trap removal. also, in my opinion, you should get jinzo.
