@wutangswordstyle686 I have both Necrophagist albums. All three Gorod albums contend with Necrophagist, easy. I personally think Gorod's compositions are a bit more sophisticated. Necrophagist are baddas, but I prefer Gorod. Just because another band plays amazing guitar like Necrophagist doesn't mean it's a ripoff. Can you point to a Necro song that sound remotely like this Gorod tune? I can't. Gorod is the shit!

@diabeticmonkey I'd say a comparison is a bit unfair of the two since while they are both awesome, they're different. Necrophagist has gone from an album with using a lot of the same riffs and some solos to a record that had what I'd consider fairly insane solos and still awesome and diverse riffs, and who knows for their third; could be a move back to riff heavy stuff with a more melodic sense.

But I could also be full of shit and not know a thing, I say let both bands do their own thing
