Been following you since ps3 / Xbox 360 which is better part 1,2,3 vids I think the one thing missing is the option for a optical umd area 4 psp games so we as the customer can have that option of playing physical media oppossed to just a download

Sony could do a lot better if they marketed well. Nintendo and Microsoft always do a good job on that whilst Sony is putting out something like the weird Harrison Ford ad for the Vita.

Network and your Google talk for video chat. Plus add hdmi to it. Thats like a walking console in your back pocket. If you dont have your PS3 with you who cares your phone does everything. Which gamer would not want that. I would luv to hear what people think about this.

What kills the vita for me is not really the price of games. But remote.play and the apps. Playstation or sony puts apps that dont work or hard to figure out or just not ready yet. If the get remote play to work thats a key selling feature apart from gaming. You would get to socialize with your friends plus game on you console too and plus more. The xperia play is a better device because its a phone too plus you got all your social network put together like your facebook your twitter psn

Psp vita is going to suck because its limited. Compare to the xperia play its a joke. Why? First xperia play can do more. Xperia play has better camera better speakers more portable to carry with a comfortable gaming pad. Better social network plus you tube is in hd and you got flash player on the browser. The vita is a attractive piece of junk. All the technology they put on the vita to make it look nice would of been better on the xperia play. It would set gamers with no limits.

I think the PS Vita will have some success but I dont think itll move 70 million units like the PSP did. And if it flops I really dont know if it will be the end of mobile gaming as we know it. If it really is i know i wont be playing mobile games any more lol i need physical controls and i need more than 99 cent throw away games

Good point dlb, but i think if cell phone gaming gets any larger i think it will ruin gaming in general because the moment developers trade innovation, challenging and fun factor off for making a quick buck it(which is what cell phone games are imo)its over for the industry.

if you can make a game for the iphone or a game for an android device then you CAN release it on the PSV, and sony's "development" isnt your garage indie developer. and honestly i love my phone but im so sick of the games on them! and any game thats super successful on iOS or Android will find itself on the PSV. sony doesnt want to have a "jailbroken" or "rooted" community on their handheld so its safe to assume they dont want to have the market crowded with 99 cent games

@titomister10 Over the past year or two we have gotten less and less active on the website, that's no doubt true. But you should probably see it now instead of making assumptions about it. We made an agreement starting this year and will start to really work on it now like we used to a few years back, just look at the past week, everyone has been pitching together and working on it now and the community is coming back, just give it time and they will come.

honesty when it comes to the vita i think we should see how it is once its actually worldwide, i mean japan isa smaller market, but it'll all come down to the games an promotion if Sony can get their head out of their asses the features look nice a cross between a smart phone/ XBL....

The only reason why I think the 3DS isn't selling so well is that the variety of titles out on the market doesn't appeal to many consumers, at least not yet. Most people already have a DS(i(XL)) so they don't see the need to replace their old device. When the big titles like Monster Hunter and S.Smash Bros come out, people will buy.

As for the Vita, I think it would succeed, GRANTED it has the battery to run that powerhouse long enough (at least that's what I'm concerned about).

i think psv has all it needs, the first party developers to support it, the tech to amaze the players, the features to be competitive (2 touch screens, camera and such).... what it needs are a few things: it need a good marketing team, kevin butler helped ps3, make some-one help psv. AND sony needs to bundle a fricken memory card with the psv, people won''t be happy if they can't save/ have a very small harddrive.

i think the vita has the potential to sell well but the problem is the way consumers look at it(like me). like what u said the vita offers us everything from 3g to wifi to etc. but we already have everything. we have our phone, our ps3. most of the features that vita offers us we are already enjoying it with the devices we own.that definitely gives us no reason to get one of them vita's

The problem with the Vita is that the experience is no different than a PS3, which is not a good thing on the long run because it just flat out doesn't make it unique. If Vita has games that are not just spinoffs or ports, but unique titles, then I would think it would do well. (Even though I think MH will be the killer app for the Vita when it comes out)

Did you hear about the cross game feature? Seriously, it's confirmed from the Japanese release already and playstation that the PS Vita can play PS3 games on it. Cross platform! Play PS3 games on the Vita!

the ps vita is going to be big, the graphics are phenomenal and will gain momentum soon. I will be getting one and I can't wait to play some games on the go! I understand where you are coming from and your argument is astute. handheld gaming will gradually move towards mobile communication devices.

in my personal opinion i think i have a ps3 and i play alot in a bigger screen same graphics so paying same amount of money or more for a vita to have something similar to a ps3 .and another thing as we know phones games are getting better too

@mrjiggaman I don't it will be the end of mobile gaming. Nintendo have been doing very good over the years. Even with these tablets and smart phones. Smart phone have diffidently taking same business. PS Vita is a good system from what i see i just dont think sony dose enough to sell the system.From what i know nintendo will all ways be doing mobile gaming thats one of there strong points. Hopefully both systems make it out to make a new one in the furture.
