I just finished Ape House. I had read Water for Elephants and Riding Lessons and truly loved both of those stories, but Ape House moved me. I never knew anything about bonobos before. What I love about Sara's work here is her gentle way of promoting animal rights without preaching. She simply tells the story, you read it, and you are changed.
Im so touched with how another human being can find and create connections with other living creatures. I will be reading this book first chance i get. Thank you Sara Gruen for writing such beautiful stories about the relationships we have with animals and how they affect our lives
