Being a polite Canadian, all I said was "above", and left. You don't need to edit anything.

A gentleman came along, and after a couple minutes,he mentioned he was a tourist from Oregon. He then asked me if we were standing above or below "sea level". Being a polite Canadian, all I said was "above", and left. You don't need to edit anything.
