  • I think in some ways, a victory for Kimi is not really a win for Ferrari, its just a win for Kimi. Not to say that I think he does it intentionally, he just isn't part of the family like you see with so many other drivers and their associated teams.

I think him moving back to McLaren is a good prediction, I still associate "The Iceman" with a silver Mercedes, probably always will.

  • fisichella replaces badoer god poor badoer the guy was gonna acheive points in italy i know it...he gets 2 races and all people do is criticise him maybe after 10 years out of a race seat its difficult to get to the pace the guy deserved points and had a stressful time in the ferrari the drivers supported him bcos they knew how tough it was and maybe u ppl shud do the blood ysame

  • It was a tough ask for Badoer after all these years. I understand why Ferrari gave him a go, but I still think it was a mistake. (Pep)

  • well i laugh at every1 who called badoer bad...lol come on Fisi a man whos raced more/longer then badoer and he struggled i find it amazing how much talent badoer had if he cud keep it on theroad let alone race! LOL

  • He would have done a lot better around Monza, with no testing allowed it made it virtually impossible for him. He is a test driver not a racer

If he was Schumacher though, he would have been quick. But he isn't..

FIA charged Renault pretty quick didn't they ? couple of days ago it was just rumours.. I think it is true. Kick them out if it is proven.

  • fact is there is no denying it he was improving...ok thats just a fact sure he was qualifying last but you gotta remmeber he technically only had ONE race valencia was a test thats it he wasnt racing...europe he was catching up from 3 seconds in a test to 0.9 thats a big gap..and yeh Renault are an extremely dodgey team...never much liked em...i agree get em kicked iffits true

  • groejean (spelling?) has shown great promise but the only problem is he is driving a renault and he's second driver, he's got no hope if he stays there, he would make a nice replacement for nakajima in my oppinion, groejean and rosberg in the same team would be excellent and they both have quite alot of talent, what frank always wants, two drivers of equal ability...

  • badoer is underrated, he was excellent in minardi all those years ago he's just passed his prime, not to mension he hasn't driven competitively in 10 years...

  • I think Ferrari signing Kimi was just them sticking the finger up to Mclaren at the time, they had also seen his skill in the Ferrari powered Sauber. I dont think he was meant to stay more than a season but the had no one to replace him until Alonso.

With Massa you have to remember he's been there for years being a Ferrari test driver when Ferrari powered the Sauber. He's been a part of that family nearly as long as Michael.

How was Prost at Ferrari? bit young to know myself

  • I take Kimi over Alonso

  • no way, alonso has a hard working attittude and WANTS to succeed in more ways than just having the biggest boat, kimi doesn't give a shit...

  • You don't think Ferrari can win this year?

I think Kimi can still do it, expecially because the top 4 can't score

  • Valencia - practice session he wasnt racing :l

Spa - first race back to get into the feel of things..of a race drivingwith anger and determination etc

Monza - should see him do better

  • At first I was a bit dubious Kimi at Mclaren as I thought he would think their was favouritism with Lewis and cause a ruck over it all but now I think he will slot in nicely and just do his own thing to be honest. I would like him back at Maccer. If that happens then I think Kovi will go back to Renault, he knows the team so makes sense. Anyone sick of hearing Jenson crying every single week, You have a great car just race the dam thing like Rubens shown at Spa, Theres nowt wrong with the car !

  • hey max if you have read the September edition of f1 racing mag you might have read one of the article written by alan henry it said that the rules in might change next year and that it could be 3 cars per team and if that happens schumi would be in alongside massa and alonso

  • Seriouly enjoyed this podcast.

I cant wait till my man ALONSO get his red car.

  • if heikki leaves mclaren itll be a good opportunity for kimi to return so long as he dont retain his seat at ferrari. mclaren seems to be coming around after a shitty start to 09 so him and hamilton could make a good duo, at least performancewise. as far as alonso at ferrari, i just cant see him there for some reason. im not saying he wont go but i hope not. if he dont stay at renault i hope he goes to a team that he can help turn around. like force india but i doubt thatll happen.

  • ham rai vs. mas alo.

hmmmm, i dont know i still think kimi will be there for in ferrari next season, the alonso hype has kind of died down, if alonso goes to ferrari how will he cope with a team mate who is capable of beating him on mutiple ocations

  • Kimi's cold hard personality fit in perfectly with Mclaren's "no hugs, strictly professional" environment. Thats why he did good there and 2007 was just steam coming off of him to win the title, something he couldn't do at mclaren due to technical failures. Kimi lost motivation last year rather quickly at ferrari even when they had a good car.

  • Well spotted Felipe-Ferrari bonds. What's amusing is the way how Ferrari supports Felipe, while treating Kimi as an ice cold individual. Remember Schumacher doing nanny job in 2006/07? On the other hand, we have Kimi who seems to be self-sufficient, separate unit always able to cope with difficult seasons like 2003, 2005 & 2006.

  • L Bad is SO 90's slang or faddish nickname! Ferrari needs to open the eyes. WHOS BAD!

  • Badoer needs wings, he needs a Redbull or a Toro Rosso! This is time to steal Robert Kubica for Ferrari!

  • I think Ferrari should give Massa the boot, sure he's quick @ 110lbs but his racecraft has proved he wont bring anything to the team other than 2nd place.

  • What are you saying?!?!?!

Massa do not lost two championships, Ferrari lost. He was the best pilot in 2007 and 2008.

Massa and Alonso are the best racers in F1 today. What races have saw in the last three years?!?!?!?!?!?!

  • Massa's two laps down & 5 spins in silverstone in 2008 proves he's garbage. Massa is the most overrated driver on the grid, I've yet to see him make any decent pass for the lead. Sure, he can set a low fuel pole position and win in the fastest car, who can't?

  • check out his pass on the outside of hamilton in hungry last yr!!he made hamilton look like a fool!!

  • also check out massa in malaysia 07 and 08. In 07 he goes off when pressured by a rookie, but I cant remember that rookies name; in 08 he's leading and goes off into kitty litter. Also in 08, Massa had a win and points handed to him through penalties and Kimi pulling over, and still couldnt win the WDC. Most overrated indeed.

  • i dont think massa is overrated at all. if he won wdc hed be a worthy champion. he makes mistakes but he has the skills to win it all. hes not a driver thats considered by the masses to be the best in f1 today anyways so thats why i dont consider him overrated. that would be either kimi, hamilton or alonso and theyre not overrated either. they ARE the top drivers in f1 these days. theyre just not in the best cars right now but they have mad driving skills. of course this is my opinion

  • Have to agree a lot. Massa is very good, and should have won 08, not through his own fault at all. The car was undriveable at Silverstone, Kimi finished a lap down as well. The fuel rig incident etc, all old news now

Alonso will push the Ferrari. Lets hope he gets a drive, it would be good to see

  • Lets see you drive that car how bad it was. Easy to criticize when you don't have to drive it.

Lets see you win a FORMULA 1 race, with Michael Schumacher in the field. They are all top drivers. Even shitty Piquet is decent.

Badoer is garbage that is obvious. But he is a tester not a racer. He would improve a bit if given time.

  • Poor Luca just found himself in the most competitive season ever.

Poor bastard never had a chance.

I'd expect Kimi to stay at Ferrari in 2010.

Fernando's knocking on the door, but he's a year early. Both Kimi and Felipe are competitive and they both have a contract for next year.

    We'll see at Monza.

  • I don't think Kimi will go back to McLaren because I believe Rosberg will get the seat next year. And hulkenberg will take Nico's seat at williams.

    Ferrari > Massa, Alonso

    McLaren > Hamilton, Rosberg

    BMW > Gone

    Renault > Kubica?, Grosjean?

    Where does that leave Kimi?

  • Theres no reason Kimi cant go to Renault. I think Renault would love a Kubica Kimi combo.

Dont forget that Renault desperately wanted Kimi in 2007, and Kimi's manager had it set up that if the Ferrari deal didn't happen he would have a seat at Renault.

  • I like your line up, my guess Massa-out of F1 due to injury (SORRY) Retirements-Rubino, Kimi, Fisi, Jarno Ferrari>Alonso/Kubica Renault>Grosjean/Hekki McLaren>Hamilton/Rosberg BrawnGP>Button/Senna RBR+STR>Same Williams>? Toyota>Glock USF1>Heidfield/Speed/Sato Force India>Sutil
  • Toyota> Kazuki>Glock

  • Kimi's not really interested in F1anymore. After his 2007 title, he done what he wanted to. He's probably off to rallying if he doesnt get a seat at Ferrari next season.

  • No question, Luca belongs at the test track, which isn't to degrade him, because if I was going to be an F1 driver, I think I'd be a better test driver than a race driver; but we've got these rumors about Giancarlo Fisichella running around. Do you guys really think he could do something good for Ferrari? I mean we saw his brilliant drive at Spa, but can he really do it again?

  • Kimi vs Lewis at Mclaren. That would be interesting to watch.

  • I disagree about that Kimi thing. I dont see why Ferrari should get Alonso while Kimi is still doing the job for that team.

I think it will be an own goal if they do release him.

  • Top notch video fellas. Aw, Kimi, the epitome of cool! I definetly think Kimi will leave Ferrari this year and Im pretty certain that he will end up at Mclaren. Martin Whitmarsh has been talking Kimi up for the past 2 weeks and they probably are the only team that could afford his salary (Toyota maybe but I cant see Kimi going there) on the grid. Also, did anyone notice how Kimi barely gave Stefano Domenicali a hug just before he went on the podium, Stefano talked to Vettel and Fisi more!
