@imandyyornot The antenna. I could bundle it up in the tail, but it works ay better (distance and responsiveness) when fully extended - so I threaded it through a hole in the tail...
@MaximOrlov - Well, it would seem that in my case any heli is pretty uncontrollable :) Sure hope one day I'll get over that with practice.. oh wait.. that means I have to practice?! :)
In my experience aside from that this heli steers better diagonal rather than forward, back and so on... I've not played with it long enough now where I do not remember any more...
PROGRESS REPORT #1... i made a few different ones out of sheet aluminum.i made one that was basically a rectangle attacked to the skids and another with two smaller skies on each side.the rectangle was like trying to fly a kit with some servos on it.the other ones made it pull wayyyyy left and it was even harder to control than the 1st one.idk what to do next...
whenb winter comes around im gunna put a piece of box tape over the bottome holes 4 the battery and try to make a platfor or skies attached so i can land on snow
yea thats why i want to do it but... i have to figure out what to use.there arent as many parts availablefor the lama as i would like(like a body and skies)ill try to keep u posted on the progress
If you are referring to what I think you are - it's the antenna. I extended it and fed through the tail. As for moisture, of course - that is why I tried not to crash into the snow :)
I know I replied, but it went away.. weird! Anyhow - standard visual effect when the light hits just right and the camera selects the appropriate shutter speeds. Does look quite nice though ;)
Body for sure, but possibly also some internals. My impression is that at least 2 has more travel on the swash, and it's possible 3 is closer to 2 than to 4.... 4 is really hard to fly in even slightest breeze without modifications.
Search for lama v3 v4 difference on rcgroups dot com and see what you get. There's lot's of stuff.
Yes, it does look cool. Thx. I am finding out that the lama makes more wind than a "standard" rc heli too ;) If it only was not that cold, but the leaves r a good option too :)
And the shutter effect on the blades is pretty cool too IMO :)
It actually picked up snow? Oh that must have looked cool too! As for good flying on my part... well.. yes, it's the landings that do not always happen as I'd like or when I like ;))
haha, did you tie a string on the tail rotor?? i see one

you should not be flying in very cold days... it's bad for the battery...

I know, but it is Colorado and sometimes u get what u can ;) Imagine pple in Alaska...

oh man!

im guessing the tendancy to fly backwards when their low happens to all of them. nothing a quick launch cant fix.

Cool. With skis on you could do running landings and takeoffs on the snow ;) May be cool! U batter make a video if you manage to do this! :)

i saw this video ages ago, but i didn't realise it was one of your GT. watching the lama blow up the snow is cool as ...
i suppose in the autumn you can rent your heli out as a leaf blower. ;O)

Only tried it in sand, almost the same effect, though I think snow is cooler. Yuor a good flyer :)
