Concrete starts to scour in the thousand to two thousand five hundred bar range (15,000 to 36,000 psi).

It's just water, erroding the concrete's bonding.

"strictly an industrial thing?"

You wouldn't want to clean a car, bike or patio with one, it'll rip the paint off, damage the metal and take dig the paving up. It also take fingers and toes off no problem, and the equipment is very expensive.

I think the units they're using here come in models with max pressures of from 510 bar to 2750 bar. I know you can perform hydrodemolition of concrete with pressures of 1400 bar. Dunno what the minimum is.

@tubestick00 No the 'Hydroblasting' of concrete has been around for years and just melts the concrete as it cuts,mind you you need to be well away from same as the concrete fragments fly everywhere.. and the sound these Blasters....is like standing next to a Jet Engine......
