@danytoon Hey Dan, the chord (shapes) are the same as the capo'd version I just didn't have one to hand that day so I played it without one in the first position.
A fine bit of playing there and very soothing — I think I'll check out some Will Ackerman. Have you listened to any Eric Roche recordings at all?
Also, that's a loverly Lowden you have: warm tone with a great balance between the bass and mid frequencies; neither overpowering the other. Can't tell from the video, but is it a 10 model or a 23 — definitely sounds like one of the two?
Thanks a lot for the kind comments :) I do love Eric's stuff very much and used to be an avid reader of his column in GT magazine before he passed away. He would always reply to e-mails and was always a really helpful and funny guy. 'Angel' has to be one of my favourite pieces at the moment.
And your right the guitar is a Lowden O23 made in Downpatrick, Ireland :D
Yeah, Eric was indeed a truly wonderful chap. And obviously such and incredible player too. Not read GT for a while; must check out what Sturart Ryan's doing with the column. At the moment I'm particularly fond of Nothing In an Emergency or his arrangement of Blue in Green.
Your Lowden must be one of the newer models then, made since George moved his workshop/factory? Beautiful instruments.
Outstanding! This is one of my favorite Will Ackerman songs, second only to The Impending Death of the Virgin Spirit. It's such a beautiful melody and your playing does it justice. Kudos!
I dont know you Dave, but I do Fiona Joy Hawkins, shes with Will at the moment. This is beautiful too.....such talent. I loove guitar well played, this IS!! All bst wishes Nicky L.
Hi there! Is there any way to see the chords of this version? It is more easy than the original to play! :D

A solid "A"...would have been A Plus without the couple of bumps but still very nice and true to the original . Kudos sir!

Very true to the original. Nice performance.
Do you mind if I ask what tuning this is in?

Thanks for the comment Mateo :) The tuning I use is EADGCF (from low to high). No capo that day though I usually do use one at the V fret.
