But why should you get health care before anyone else? I'll do my best to get health care for everyone by supporting politicians who promise universal health care. That will include health care for you too. And will you stop working once you get health care? Or are you motivated by things other than money and benefits?
Your point is that if I am such a great Christian I should give what money I have to others and you would like to be first in line. My point is that some things are better done by the government. If I gave you the $600 it would be gone in 6 months, but if I help to get universal health care you will always have health care. The better use of my money is to support a candidate who supports universal health care, even just for your benefit alone.
So you think the government should take money from ME and give it to someone else? instead of the private sector doing it or you doing it yourself? We are not socialists, socialist type society's NEVER work. It breeds irresponsibility.
But yet you see the need to pay for the largest military in the world. The military budget is excessive. Some of the money for health care could come from it. Demand a better government and hold the government accountable. But the best way to deal with health costs is to pool all our money and to get rid of the middle men, the insurance companies and all the pencil pushers.
The reason its excessive is because military was cut 60% in the 90's and we had to upgrade after the attacks on us. You have to much faith in the Government, they can't even send mail property why would u want them in charge of health care?. What a nightmare.
The military budget should be cut more. War and the military solution are making it worse. The postal service is fine. They handle huge volumes of mail and do a good job for the money.
The US Government is obligated by the constitution to protect its people, not take money from peter to pay paul to pay for someone elses health care. Is our system perfect No. But our population is too large to give everyone health care like in Canada where they have 10% of our population. We are a target and radical islam has declared war with us, sorry but we needed to spend that money to catch up for the military cuts in the 90's.
Form relationships with other nations and create clever surveilance offers better protection than using war. War drives people toward religion and creates hatred. We want people to settle down and be less emotional. We want muslims themselves to remove the killers among them. The military has an approach that is not appropriate to the problem of terrorism, but they will never admit that. They will continue to try to win using military tacitcs in a war. War won't work to combat terrorism.
Not going to war sometimes also gives the impression of weakness. If your traveled so much you would know that to nations especially in the middle east they see not standing up for yourself a major weakness and and a flaw. We did not defend ourselves in the 1990's after 6 attacks on the US. Then 9/11 happened. So don't tell me it's because we are at war.

Chris Mathews tried to blindside Ann Coulter. didn't really work out that well. All Mrs. Edwards could do was demand she stop being so mean and talk about real issues. So coulter brought up a few of the real ethical deficiencies of Mr. Edwards. It soon became clear that any fact Elizabeth Edwards would rather not talk about was "mean."

Take a look at wiki under "World War II casualties" Russia lost over 10 million soldiers and the US lost under 500,000. The US was hardly affected by WWII by comparison to what others suffered. The reason its excessive is because military was cut 60% in the 90's and we had to upgrade after the attacks on us. You have to much faith in the Government, they can't even send mail property why would u want them in charge of health care?. What a nightmare.

The military budget should be cut more. War and the military solution are making it worse. The postal service is fine. They handle huge volumes of mail and do a good job for the money.

The US Government is obligated by the constitution to protect its people, not take money from peter to pay paul to pay for someone elses health care. Is our system perfect No. But our population is too large to give everyone health care like in Canada where they have 10% of our population. We are a target and radical islam has declared war with us, sorry but we needed to spend that money to catch up for the military cuts in the 90's.

Form relationships with other nations and create clever surveilance offers better protection than using war. War drives people toward religion and creates hatred. We want people to settle down and be less emotional. We want muslims themselves to remove the killers among them. The military has an approach that is not appropriate to the problem of terrorism, but they will never admit that. They will continue to try to win using military tacitcs in a war. War won't work to combat terrorism.

Not going to war sometimes also gives the impression of weakness. If your traveled so much you would know that to nations especially in the middle east they see not standing up for yourself a major weakness and and a flaw. We did not defend ourselves in the 1990's after 6 attacks on the US. Then 9/11 happened. So don't tell me it's because we are at war.
