If anything being increases the intellect. Worry creates fear. Fear and ego disrupt correct action. Conciseness creates change for the better. Materialism is what you are seeing now. War, hate, greed ect. Tolle says there are moments were you have to defend yourself from abuse. There is no conspiracy. Conciseness creates less problems and quick correction if problems occur.

matterik is clearly a smart guy, and I tend to agree with him. But I'm not so sure he has Tolle pegged. Tolle does advocate a non-reactive clear state of mind, which makes it easier to assess problems and deal with them. Well, I guess he meant this makes humans more passive and open to manipulation by the "NWO"? Perhaps it is the vagueness of Eckhart's philosophy that has caught me, but I don't see him overemphasizing emotion and intuition as much as other new age philosophies.

I don't hear those gentlemen mentioning RATIONALITY & INSTINCT...those, when coupled with INTUITION & EMOTION, comprise the essence of being! I'm new to these 3 men you've mentioned but it's worth noting that ALL HUMANS have a male & female side, it's part of our genetics. For men, the ANIMA has to be brought up from the soul...maybe they're referring to that.
