@nockuout1 The pflueger trion is a great reel. I don't have any idea what you are talking about. There is a distinct difference between a brown crap and an aluminum fishing real.
@nockuout1 hey man - a lot of fishermen buy and use the "junk" i reviewed in the video. im a crude beginner fly fishing and dont do a lot of it so the cheap stuff is fine for me. if i get into it further i can always sell my used stuff to another beginner and put money toward something better. nothing wrong with the pfueger trion 1912 but i agree that a Bauer would be better. thanx 4 watching!
@Bonecollector621 yes you can use any weight line on any weight reel and the same is true for rod weights. with time and experience the fisherman learns to match line reel and rod weight to best suit their style and specific fishing needs. thanx 4 watching.
@dandotreillydot42058 the pflueger is outstanding value for sure. it is big and i got it for stripers only. i would not use it on freshwater - too big. either of the other reels in this video are perfect for small game.
@dandotreillydot42058 yes that is true - pflueger trion is available in several sizes - again the one i show here is for striper fishing. thanks for watching.
@bloodknot101 i use the pflueger trion in 3 inch diameter for a 4 wt rod and it balances fine and on the other end ii use a 3 1/4 inch diameter reel for the 10 wt rod...for long island stripers ... it is well built reel for the price
@dandotreillydot42058 sounds like you are much further alone than me in fly fishing. i have only had one striper take a fly and it was at my feet and I missed the fish. hoping to change that this year. no i dont tie - I belong to a fly club and all of those guys tie but it does not appeal to me because i have so many other hobbies i have no time to become a fly tyer too. i prefer to buy my files from a good friend named John Burke. he is a mater tier. thanks for watching - best wishes.
@bloodknot101 ya i saw one of your videos abou his flies...his flies far surpass any of my flies- there is nothing like striped bass fishing on a flyrod. hope you catch some this spring
@dandotreillydot42058 hey man thanks a lot. yeah one of my goals this year is to score on the fly! thanks for watching and commenting - i'll be posting a lot more videos this season - lets get em!
@bloodknot101 That is a very achievable goal and I hope you stick with it. There really is nothing like the feeling you get when you pull in a fish on a fly rod. Whether it be a pan fish or a cow! Greatest sense of accomplishment there is.
My goal is to get my freshwater fly fishin' buddy hooked on salt water and also to land some fish from my yak.
Maybe ill upload some pictures of some fish.
Good luck and I'm looking forward to your vids this season.
@dandotreillydot42058 agreed - i want to get a yak and get after em too - living in lewes we have what is called the inner wall - easily reached by yak and it holds fish up the ying yang! let me at em!
@OMGitsme3335 sorry for late response - did not see your comments until today. the original seller link is shown at end of video - go there and contact seller. I believe he only had a limited quantity of this reel and they are probably gone.
