  • Well Done, very informative! Thanks

  • I really liked this video.

It was very informative and very down to earth.

It sounded like a friend of mine was telling me how to do this project.

    Cool.

    Thanks man.

  • why flip the frame over to enable drilling ?? You should of just raised one side at a time and drilled from the underneath....

  • only a stoner would show his errors in creation lol

  • @8Zeitgeist

EX Stoner Bro, or Chic.........What ever ya ya....lol

  • @cwaj sorry for your loss

  • i intend to have fun,but i'll need some help as spinal surgery means i'm not able to do everything myself, thanks for your encouragement

  • i enjoyed your films about building a pond, hope everything is still o.k., about to try something similar myself, well i might try and get some help from a professional.

  • @drewsmart64 If 64 is the year you was born, I know you can do it yourself. Where ever you go to buy the liner and pump (Any pond, fish, and plant shop)

they will be happy to tell you what to do, plus pumps, etc. come with instructions.

    You can do it.....Have fun.

  • very nice but should have went a litte deeper you had the extra liner and it would help the fish's

  • thats a nice pond

  • how much is all the supplies in total cost

  • @ABCba5tard

    5 - 6 hundred dollars. Hint...Invest in a bigger pump.

  • Just a quick question ... the fishes, did they die during winter when it snowed?

  • @zerounite

Did just fine. Ice and all.

  • Hello from Portugal. Nice and very informative video. It's nice that you did not over look the parts that most take for granted, ie-admitting when you goof up now and then :) ! Honest and simple and it works!

    Thanks for shareing. Gary

  • Termites are gonna go to town on this thing and it will likely rot before that happens....

  • this look so hard

  • @meza831

I did it, how hard could it be? lol

    It was easy.........Thank you.

  • Nice.

    Thanks for sharing!

  • Nice pond :)

  • OMg at 7:43 the left side of the pond is bending out or is it just the liner

  • Part 1 very interesting, good idea, build a frame, dig down, liked the idea of steel supports...only 1 snag,,why do people trim excess liner, just tidy it up,after all i reckon you may have in the future increased its size, overall really did enjoy this video, now onto part 2

  • @HOTEL56784 i know right i hate when people trim it its so expensive the way it is why wast it

  • this looks like a very long process and you can tell because the grass is green and dies as the vid goes through haha

  • That is because I had something come up, that stopped my project cold. I later got around to finishing it...Not a long project really.

  • oo wel nice pond.. can u make another vid to see how its doin?

  • um btw did u say 12 hundred gallons (1200)

  • whats those things floating in the water at 6:40 is it carbon?? and if it is what is its use because i dont know if i should put carbon im my pond.

  • It is not carbon......I have no idea what you see. I have a ceramic log in the bottom though.

At 6:40, I have fish floating in a bag.....

  • Aren't you worried about predators? That pond looks extremely shallow.

  • No. The pond is 2 feet deep. Deep enough for Goldfish. I have had the same fish, for over 2 years now.

  • Hmm, lucky you! You must not have herons, possums, or raccoons in your area. (or kitty's for that matter)

Here in Ca. I have to plan my ponds at a minimum of 4 feet deep. (most pond hobbyist's prefer to err on the safer side) Of course I research for Koi ponds as well so that may be where I'm coming up with the 4 foot dept minimum rule...

  • Very helpful! Wish I had seen this before I did mine. Now, I'll go back and fix it like yours. And you are a genius! Thanks for sharing your experience.

  • is 2x4 spud wood? look good

  • can i make one half size?

  • Nice job, good presentation.

  • looks good but you could have builtit a little easier than what you had done.

  • I built my walls with PT timbers and Iron Rebars

I boxed in the whole thing with treated Chip board, followed by a stucco finish and a stained wood sill that also acts as a bench. V nice for a formal patio setting.

  • one of the best presentations i have seen. thanks for the time you've taken to bring that to us...

if you got the time check out my pond construction. youtube(dot)com/watch?v=qyHkXoh1Wco

    thanks.

  • awsome

  • Thanks! I'll follow your design!

  • thx mate help me alot

  • My husband and I love your work, I put you in my favorites. Thanks again for all your wonderful videos.

  • 3" deck Screws

  • That makes good sense. Thanks again for everything you do.Caramia

  • My husband and I are watching it right now, I guess the studs are 3ft part, maybe. Did you attach the sides with screws, and add a metal support on the joint, or just screw it together?

  • Wonderful, and very beautiful. I am going to make sure that my husband sees this video and definately send it to all my friends. How deep did you dig the base of the pond? Did you assemble the pond with wood screws. Is your 1"pipe a threaded female end? Did you use a drill bit, the flat one to reset the wood, so that the pipe sets inside of the lower sill. Does setting the black liner out is the sun, make it more piable and easier to mold into the shap of the pond?

  • How large of staples did you use, 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch deep. Going to watch part 2 now. Definately added to my favorites.

  • 3/4

  • No metal

  • Cool - I would love to have more people see my project! Thank You!

It is about 1 foot deep, as I hit solid rock.

It would have been a lil deeper....

Wood screws - all the way (Deck Screws)

1 inch pipe. no threads...The pipe goes onto the earth about two feet down..as support.

It does not sit in the lower brace - it goes completly through it, a foot or two down...

Yes, set the liner out in full sun an hour or so, as to make it more plyable. It is still thick and heavy..

    PEACE

  • Whoo hoo!

The first attempt, it was too long.

I had to make 2 parts.......
