@PH5221 I'd say... yes. It helps that you have a fairly decent processor (quad core makes a large difference in these games). The graphics card is fairly weak, but I've been playing it on a geforce 8800 which itself is getting on a bit now. I wouldn't say you'd run this completely smoothly. How well does your PC run the normal GTA 4?

@Cactupia It's a game engine developed by DICE, the guys responsible for the Battlefield Series.

They started using this engine with the first Bad Company were it boosted some kind of real-time Destructibility( such as walls etc) and from that they continued to improve upon it with Bad Company 2 (were Destruction 2.0 was implemented) and with the announcement of Battlefield 3, Frostbite 2 was set to be the lead engine with vast improvements including better environmental destruction and more.

Did you set fraps at 60fps for recording? Because if without recording the game is running at more than 30fps and fraps is set at 30fps, then while recording game frames will be locked at 30fps and that is not very pleasant experience at all.

Also in my opinion this game is not really worth your spent time working on those mods ;)

@therealonethistime Well, Rockstar dropped the ball with the GTA 4 engine. It ran like crap on consoles and it ran like crap on PCs. And it looked like crap as well. I used to be a GTA fanboy, had 100% saves on gta3,VC, SA. Loved those games. And loved the mods for those games. With GTA4 I didn't even try getting most of the trophies. Just finished the story and sold the game. It was a pain in the arse to play it. I' not saying I don't appreciate work of modders, Too bad it's for this game.

@Velociocity You can download programs like coretemp and msi afterburner to monitor your cpu and gpu temps. Chances are this won't make it get any hotter than any other high end game, like Crysis or Metro 2033.
