  • WHOA !! Ok, I found your explanation on how to get the remote to work. I done what you said and it's working great now..

  • You covered everything pretty good, But you said nothing of how to set up the remote. I can't seem to get mine to work. When I turn on the puck, I hear a message saying that there is no remote paired. I havent seen anything in the manual that tells us we have to pair the remote. If you can, Please help with this problem. Thanks...

  • Great review, thanks. Looks like one of the products for spring..

  • Thx 4 your help, guys... I thin I will buy this product, mostly thx to your review... :-)

  • The phone has to support A2DP *WITH* AVRCP for the remote control to work. That's the big different between using this with a generic A2DP headphone adapter. I had to buy one that converted AVRCP commands to dock-connector commands for my iPhone before Apple added A2DP and AVRCP support. It would force you to the iPod screen with any AVRCP command, even if you were listening to Pandora Radio or GPS! It would do it when you got a call too. :( Thankfully, Apple added A2DP/AVRCP natively.

  • AT highway speeds, the sound quality is very dependent on how your helmet copes with wind noise...My HJC is pretty noisy and the parrot is useless over 40 or 50 mph. However, with the windjammer, I can still hear it fine well into the 90's, but much more than that and the wind noise is too much and drowns out the parrot. Hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions.

  • My GMAX cheekpads have speaker pockets. The Parrot speakers fit fine, but I got frustrated trying to hear them so I stuck them on the outside of the pockets and stuffed them with tissue. I've ordered leatherette earcups from eBay to see if that will help further.

  • If you dont want the speakers right next to your ear, you can put them under the fabric of your cheekpad, or if you are skilled with a needle and thread, possibly INSIDE your cheekpad...just depends on your helmet. Comfort is fine for me. I've had no problems with the BT connection or the "puck" falling off or coming loose up to 120 mph.

  • This is a great and very useful review... What I would like to know, how would you rate the audio quality (high, middle and low frequency sounds). And also, how are the speakers installed in the helmet, is the helmet more uncomfortable because of it. And also, regarding the lamp that holds the bluetooth pack, how reliable is it? Do you think it can cope with speeds of about 200 km/h and more, and not fall off?

  • First, the audio quality, standing still, no bike or wind noise, is great. The drivers are pretty wide, so plenty of bass, and there is a bass boost that works well and a stereo "widening effect" that doesn't really suit me so I leave that turned off. Mids and highs are fine The speakers are flat discs that can go directly into your helmet and sorta stick to the ear fabric on the cheekpads...I may have to make another video with better lighting to show that.

  • The clamp is supposed to be semi-permanent and works very well with my helmet (GM58S).
